Comment: I am not sure I can offer any comments all that dfferent from the other reviews that are here but definitely wanted to give this one 5 stars. I also checked Sharon Little out because of the song "Follow That Sound" from the TV show "The Cleaner". I bought the CD and have been quite pleased. Ms. Little provides the perfect combination of rock,blues, and pop. It is true, there is really not a bad song on the entire CD. She does have shades of Janis Joplin, Norah Jones, Etta James, and maybe even a touch of Lizzie West (whose music I love!) Well worth a serious listen! Customer Rating: Summary: love this CD Comment: Saw Sharon in concert with Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, usually opening acts are more than a little disappointing, but she was the perfect person to open for them with the perfect music to match their music . My friend and I fell for her on the spot, so much so that I bought this CD for him 3 days after the concert. We have both listened to this CD for hours. If you enjoy R&B, bluegrass w/a twist you will love this CD. I can hardly wait to see her in person again and am waiting for another CD to be published. Editorial Reviews: Sharon Little had been making ends meet as a waitress in a Philadelphia-area restaurant when she scored a record deal with CBS Records in early 2008. Within weeks of completing her new album, Perfect Time For A Breakdown, Sharon was chosen by Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and T Bone Burnett to open their entire Raising Sand U.S. tour, which will put her in front of thousands of fans each night of the 33-show trek. While this might seem that she s an overnight sensation , she is anything but a flash in the pan. She s a singer of intense emotional honesty and the songs she s written reveal an old soul that just happens to be within a person possessed of undeniable physical and spiritual beauty. The journey that has taken her so far in seemingly so short a time has actually been a life-long quest to find her voice, both in the literal and figurative sense. The songs on Perfect Time For A Breakdown were written by Sharon and her collaborator, Scot Sax, who co-produced with Mark Howard, noted for his work with Bob Dylan, Tom Waits and Lucinda Williams. The album s 11 tunes were inspired in part by numerous cross-country train adventures Little and Sax have experienced over the past 2 years.
