Summary: 2008 Ahmad Jamal (AJ) copycat
Comment: When I first heard this album, well, really just the first cut, Poincianna, I told my wife that I hadn't heard AJ in many years but I would bet my life that we were listening to his album. Glad I didn't bet, it wasn't AJ.
What a wonderful fresh album with old - and new songs - in the AJ type of Bass, Piano and drums. It's nice to know that young people are still as talented in Jazz as AJ was back in the 60's and 70's.
Get this album if you like the Jazz and Bossa Nova back then and be amazed at this new, talented, and fresh Trio.
