Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent return Comment: When I first saw this album on sale and I read that none of the originals members but Mike recordered this album, I though it will be a Mike Tramp's solo carrer "kind of" album; I glad I was wrong, I can't deny that I really miss the Vito Bratta playing but I should accept that this album can be compared with any of the whiteLion's Albums and it is as good as any of them. It is a very well ballanced album and has the original sound and style that made them famous, and in my opinion Mike does one of his best jobs in songwriting, the years have given him experience and I can see more mature lyrics, If you liked any of the early whitelion's records you should give this record an oportunity, I'm sure it will not dissapointed you
Customer Rating: Summary: ! Comment: This is not the train wreck that I was expecting! Mike Tramp sounds a little tired but there are some good ideas here. The song structures are interesting and I like the epics Sangre De Cristo and Battle of Little Big Horn.
Customer Rating: Summary: Weak Return. Comment: I wish Mike Tramp would just give it up. There just simply can't be real White Lion without Vito. Their classic sound came from Vito's guitar playing and his songwriting.
Together and really would return, this is just a tragic comeback of the damn of one of the great bands of the 80's.
I think They must make new things. If they still want to play with old sound, then new songs must be very quality.
I am sory, songs is ordinary and not melodic.
Fans can buy it, but other people only listen from far.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good album Comment: This is a great album from White Lion. The lyrics are good, the music is really good. I believe these guys are good musicians and the vocals are as always great from Mike Tramp. This maybe not as strong an album like "Big Game" or "Mane attraction" which showed real maturity and strength, but it's still a good album. It's a bit laid back. Not everything is going to be a Hit from every band, but overall this is an enjoyable album. You'll like it. It's a good buy. You won't be disappointed by any means. Just trying to help those undecided.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not even close Comment: I really enjoy white lion's music, but this sequel is just not anything like their younger days, not even close. After the first listen, I was like,"this is nothing like their old stuff". I hoped a second listen would help, uhh, nope! I'll sell it on Amazon site, or maybe in this Saturdays yardsale.

All the trademarks of the classic White Lion sound can be found again on Return Of The Pride, the sequel to their biggest album: Pride. White Lion was formed by Mike Tramp in 1982. Pride, released in 1987, was White Lion's breakthrough album, bringing them to world-wide prominence, thanks to the hits Wait (#8 on the Billboard Hot 100) and the gentle ballad When The Children Cry (#3), but the rest of the album is also well constructed pop metal, with little of the over-the-top testosterone-heavy posturing of their peers, as well as a low sleaze factor. In addition to the socially conscious Children, Pride contained the positive anthems Don't Give Up and All Join Our Hands. Pride went on to sell over 2 million albums and became one of the landmark albums of the era. After several more albums and world tours, the band retired. Fast forward to 2007 (the 20th anniversary of Pride). Reflecting on the changes in music and the world in general, Mike felt it was time to return to the lyrical themes and musical territory of their classic album. Return Of The Pride kicks off with Sangre de Cristo, a thunderous epic that ventures into the lyrical and musical territories better heard than described. Battle At Little Big Horn is the album s other soaring epic, a musical reenactment of one of Native America s most significant historical events: Custer's Last Stand. Hook-laden rockers such as Dream, Live Your Life and Finally See The Light maintain a positive musical and lyrical vibe throughout the album, and Gonna Do It My Way and Let Me Be Me reflect the spirit of rebellion and individualism.
