Spotlight customer reviews:

Customer Rating: Summary: Dan is correct! Comment: Dan is correct!
Do not buy.
Instead get "The Offical Johhny Winter Bootleg Series".
All 3 are great. Each one gets better and better.
Vol 1 seems to be The 1979 Woddstock Reunion in Long Island.
Vol 2 has a killer version of Red House - it's worth it just for that!
Vol 3 has a killer version of Boothill, and a killer acoustic cut.
All the cuts are fantastic on all 3.
Customer Rating: Summary: Johnny doesn't get a dime! Comment: This is yet another repackaging of tunes from tapes owned by a former manager of his. The exact same versions can be found on "Blues In A Box" and many more CDs. The Gibson Firebird cover is a blatant and misleading rip-off of the "Live Bootleg" series, which Johnny himself has been putting out recently. Please buy those instead; they're great!

Editorial Reviews:
|
For more than 35 years, Johnny Winter has been at the forefront of modern blues. Disc 1 of this double album features recordings from various periods of his career, while on Disc 2 we find him live at the Dallas International Motor Speedway for the Texas Pop Festival, recorded in the fall of 1969.
