Summary: Ministry's Last Chapter
Comment: The Cover Up cd is the last chapter in Al Jourgensen's main musical project. Now, he's gonna push other artists through 13th Planet Records. If you're a fan of rabid, angry, fast and thunderous music, this a is a cd you definitely have to buy. Good work in the covers, and the special guests list is brilliant.

Summary: A band who excells at covers
Comment: Another excellent album from Al with many good covers. The only gripe I have is the few tracks already appearing on other albums like Supernaut,Lay Lady Lay and Roadhouse Blues. Overall,a great album for any Ministry fan. I've been listening to Ministry for about 14 yrs. If you like these guys than you probaly have most of what they've released or you've never heard of them at all. I can't say I know anyone that listens to but their fans are somewhere. If you like 70's rock with a unique sound then this is for you.

Summary: Not a bad CD
Comment: Amazon sells this CD for about $13.99. If you live in the Chicago/metro area, you can get this CD at Rolling Stones Music in Norridge, IL for about $9.99.
It's been said that this is Al's/Ministry's last tour and CD.
Even though Al will be busy for the time being with other projects, I think he'll get bored working behind the scenes at some point & come out of retirement in a few years from now, and work on another Ministry CD.

Summary: Not in the same ball park as previous work, but a fun cover record none the less.
Comment: Some many people have been giving Al and company crap for this release saying it is not the same Ministry as they know and love. Well DUH!!!!!! it is a covers record, not an album about politics or drug problems. Just sit back and listen to there version of some great rock classics.

"Radar love" and "Bang a Gong" are my personal favorite of the newer covers. "Space truckin" is fun as well with Tommy Victor on vocals. The only complaint I have is that they included "roadhouse blues" on here which is stupid because that came out last year on "The Last Sucker."

It is a fun rock/metal record of covers, have a beer and enjoy.

Summary: A Perfect Going Away Release
Comment: Ministry has been a leading band in the industrial music scene for over a decade. Well now it appears the band is breaking up and this is going to be their final release. Ministry have been known (with past albums) to write songs with lyrics based more around politics and the government, so with this album they sorta switched things up. It shows a different side of the band, with it's more party style and fun antics, playing cover songs of various classic rock bands. They also have a few guest stars like Static-X's Tony Campos and Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory joining in on the fun.

The album has versions of The Rolling Stones' "Under My Thumb", Deep Purples' "Space Truckin'" and T-Rex's "Bang A Gong", all done in a mechanized/industrial way, you know Ministry style. A favorite is their take on "What A Wonderful World", because you hear Jourgensen's voice change tunes and takes on the sound of Louis Armstrong, which I'd never expect to hear. "Radar Love" is also on the album full force thrashin' style. This is a perfect going away release.
