Summary: It's my absolute favorite album
Comment: Well finally this is the one ! You know when they ask you wich album you would take to a deserted island, if you only could take one (and there would be a cd player on the island). Well I would take 'the prodigal comes home'. I play it every single day.
What's so great about it ? The texts are great, for a starter. Every text is like a poem or a prayer or a quote you could use to lift someone up.
I like the music ! And I like Michel's voice. His voice has that somewhat rough honesty, with a passion coming through that gives me goosebumps.
I couldn't possibly say which song is may favorite. There is a song for every mood and every struggle. And every song is uplifting, hopegiving, encouraging, heart opening ...
I hope a new CD will come soon. Or a dvd, that would be great !

Summary: Wow!
Comment: I believe this is the best Michael English album since "Hope" all those years ago. When God truly changes a heart, He blesses it. I know there are those who have not liked the style of the music (too 90's or not original in style) but the lyrics in these songs are so powerful and to me they are a great blessing. We all have struggled and we all have fallen, this album reminds us that God is waiting to restore us. I was truly blessed.

Comment: I encourage all who can to buy this CD. It is possibly the best Michael has done, at least second to best. :o) It is not only beautiful but so touching when you realize the songs are right from the heart about his road to redemption. If you've read his book and then listen to this CD, I'm sure it'll bring tears.
Michael has a unique and wonderfully amazing voice and has indeed been blessed by God. Praise God for Michael English!

Summary: Awesome Come Back!
Comment: This cd is awesome. I'm a huge Michael English fan and I'm very pleased with this album. I just saw him in concert three days ago, and he is still a great singer. I am so proud that he is back on his feet. I have waited a long time for this cd and was not disappointed in it. I don't care if he didn't write any of the songs. They tell his life story and what God has brought him through. Great job Michael!!!!!!!!

Summary: WHERE IS MICHAEL ENGLISH??
Comment: I gave this a 3-star rating, only because the music and the performance are good. But if you're expecting to hear Michael English...forget it!!! I listened to the first verse on the first song, waiting for Michael to chime in and sing with the "guest" vocalist! This absolutely sounds NOTHING like Michael English!! I don't know whether it's a problem with over "producing" his voice...or what! But I am very, very disappointed. If you go back and listen to his previous recordings, they sound nothing at all like the voice that is on this recording.
I have been a HUGE supporter of Michael English throughout everything...and I was really hoping that this would put him back on top...and it may. But if you are an old fan of Michael's and are hoping to hear that unique voice...you will be disappointed.
