THAT BEING SAID, THIS "BEST OF" 2 DISC EDITION IS ANY CARDIGANS FANS TREASURE CHEST. DISC 1 IS ALL OF THEIR HITS, AND DISC 2 IS A VERY FULLFILLING COLLECTION OF B-SIDES AND RARITIES. I OWN "ALOT" OF SINGLES ETC, WITH A GOOD BIT OF THESE ALREADY ON THERE AND UNTIL THIS RELEASE CAME OUT, YOU HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO HUNT THEM ALL DOWN INDIVIDUALLY. NOW, IT'S ALL IN ONE DISC AND I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH ON HOW MANY SONGS ON HERE ARE "SINGLE WORTHY". ALOT OF THESE ARE MY FAVORITE CARDIAGNS SONGS, (I HAVE ALL OF THEIR ALBUMS) AND THE KEY TRACKS THAT SUPPORT MY CLAIM ARE: "SLOWDOWN TOWN", "GIVE ME YOUR EYES", "IF YOU WERE LESS LIKE ME", "FOR THE BOYS", "IF THERE IS A CHANCE", "HOLD ME", "THE ROAD", "SLOW", "COUNTRY HELL" & "WAR", AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE CARDIGANS ARE TAKING A BREAK SO NO NEW ALBUM ANY TIME SOON, HOWEVER YOU'D THINK A "BEST OF" PACKAGE WOULD NOT CONTAIN ANY NEW MATERIAL. THIS ONE HAS OVER AN ALBUMS WORTH OF EXCELLENT TUNES THAT MANY CARDIGANS FANS HAVE NOT HEARD YET. THIS 2 CD SET IS A NO-BRAINER, BUY IT! 'My Favourite Game' & 'Erase/Rewind') which has sold 2.1m, and First Band On The Moon (feat. "Lovefool") at 1.8m.'Lovefool's' inclusion on the blockbuster Romeo & Juliet film soundtrack propelled them to superstardom - it was a No. 1 in both the UK and US airplay charts and was a Top Ten hit all around the world! The Cardigans are also known for their iconic video for "My Favourite Game" which was directed by the uber cool Jonas Åkerlund.
