Customer Rating: Summary: awesome as always Comment: You just can't go wrong with Type-O-Negative. This album isn't as depressing as some in past but stays true to their sound. The DVD is great! Good concert coverage and light humored interview.
Customer Rating: Summary: Type O Negative-Red Verison Comment: I have'nt bought a Type O Negative cd since The Limited Edition Verison of "Bloody Kisses"."Dead Again" is excellent. The Band has not lost none of its edge and dark humor.Their brand of Gothic Doom Metal is great to listen to.I enjoyed the DVD with the videos, interviews and live Performances.I thought it was very cool. This Limited Edition Red Verison of "Dead Again" is worth picking up(Glad I waited till this came out instead of getting the regular verison).
Customer Rating: Summary: Red Again Comment: Love this band and once again they came out with another hit CD. This one is a little more on the punk side with faster songs (except for September Sun) and shorter tracks. A must buy if you are a Type O Negative fan!
Customer Rating: Summary: Type O in their mediocre mode Comment: Well it seems that Type O Negative are back in their mediocre mode which means that the Dead Again is an album of long, overwrought and confused songs that really needed a) to be tightened up and focused or b) left on the cutting room floor or in a notebook of song ideas to be revisited. Some fans love this kind of album because it's edgy (ooh!) but not me. Go buy October Rust or World Coming Down.
Customer Rating: Summary: Type-O-Sabbative Comment: Being old enough to rememebr the original line-up of Sabbath in all their glory, I have struggled to accept anyone as deserving of their praise until now. This album deserves that. It is TON going to a new level, of both style, class and imaginatiopn. They clearly salute the mighty Sabs by emulating many of their signature sounds. Not only tempo changes, but atmosphere changes, guitar solos, choral chants and inspirational riffs. Beautiful, fragile vocals one minute, Vampirish screams the next. Guitar that actually frightened my girlfriend (on "The profit of doom")! Heavy is not the word for this. It is brutal, satanic, dark, with hints of the old Sabbath knack of breaking into all together different feelings, then back again to the darkness of hell. It is heavenly one minute, hellish the next. Steele's vocals change so much, you may be forgiven for thinking they have a whole host of new lead singers. He clearly wants to be Ozzy on "September Sun" and uses synthesisers to make him even sound Ozzy-ish (as well as throwing a couple of "yeahs" into the mix). They blast into such Iommi style guitar licks (beautifully illustated in "These Three Things"), you would think they've asked him to guest for them. The old TON sound is there in places, but this is a brand new band now boys. And I, for one, WELCOME this as the strongest album they, or anyone else for that matter, has produced in years! Master of Reality meets Black Sabbath meets Technical Ecstasy meets Bella Lugosi.

Just in time for Valentine s Day... The perfect gift for your girlfriend s girlfriend... If she happens to be a Christian woman, she might feel a bit threatened, but she can always sit back and watch Reverend Steele and the Drab Four ministry preach to 70,000 adoring fans at the 2007 Wacken Open Air on the bonus DVD.
