Comment: I loved her rock star style on AUTOBIOGRAPHY (I know it wasn't much more than pop/rock but let's give it the benefit of the doubt),which got a little lost on her second album,but now we don't really know what's going on,it's not bad but it's just pop with a little bit of rock,even hip/hop or dance sometimes.Her voice is nice but not good at all (she tries too much to sing like other singers and it's faking her sound),specially in the first song "outta my head" which is a shame cause the song and it lyrics are really good.The 3rd and 4th tracks are very good and well put,but the rest is a little plain to me,specially,and I'm sorry to say that,"bittersweet world" it was good on paper but what went wrong?...Overall this CD's pretty nice,specially "boys" and "hot stuff" which add it own vibe and suits very well Ashlee's voice and personnality.the last track,the little sad song is pretty but she could do better when you think of "undiscovered" (from her debut album AUTOBIOGRAPHY),good lyrics though... They always have a fresh take on music, so her music never gets boring and is better every time. This is my favorite cd of hers so far, but the next one will probably be even better! Track number 2 "Boys" is fun and so is track number 6 "Rag Doll". I could say something good about all the tracks actually! Customer Rating: Summary: The New Ashlee Comment: I love this new album! I was a fan of hers since autobiography, and still am. I don't really consider her a bad singer, not the best either, she is very catchy and entertaining. The album still Charted and #4 here in the US, however only 47,000 copies were purchased in its first week, I was expecting way more than that, it was promoted enough and the single choices were trrible ( not the song themselves). If this were promoted properly and the lead single were Ragdoll or hot stuff, it wouldave showed her tru new direction, followed by her second single being murder. I feel those are the catchiest and people wouldve talked about them. Its said that Boys will be the single, given that it is summer i have a prediction itll do extremely well. The album is amazing, listen to it when you're in a good party mood, the new ashlee is here and this is only the begining! Stand out tracks you should check out Murder, ragdoll, Hot stuff and bittersweet world. Bittersweet World is the third studio album by singer Ashlee Simpson. She worked on the album with producers Timbaland, Chad Hugo, and Kenna. It has been described by Simpson as a "fun party album" with a "silly and quirky" side and some influence from 1980s music. She describes it as having a more beat-oriented sound than her first two albums, Autobiography and I Am Me, although still retaining some of those albums' guitar-based sound. Polydor.
