Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Comment: I had heard "Lay back down" but was really surprised to find the entire album just as enjoyable. An Excellent cd--i'd recommened it in a heartbeat. it's kind of a funky, jazzy, country, creole sound. I'm very happy!!
Customer Rating: Summary: More Good Stuff from Eric Lindell Comment: This is another great album from a gifted rock songwriter and singer. Great arrangments and musicians: stories that paint pictures and entertain the mind, music that will have you dancing or at least playing air guitar. Has drawn exponentially larger and larger crowds every year at the New Orleans Jazz Fest with stellar live performances. Check out his early album "Piety Street Session."
Customer Rating: Summary: Toe tappin, good times Comment: The follow up to "change in the weather". A sophomore success for Lindell with his down home feel good tunes!
Customer Rating: Summary: Phenomenal CD, seek him out LIVE Comment: I had the great fortune to catch this band live on a quick stop in MA a few weeks ago directly following their appearance on Conan. Refreshing and original is the best way to describe this unique band and the talents of Eric Lindell. If you are a fan of Blues, R&B, rock, Jersey Shore music, cajun flair, Wilson Pickett, Springsteen, Dr. John, and Van Morrison, then this CD is for you. This CD has obviously has taken all of the above and mixed it into something wonderfully new, with solid musiciansip to walk the walk, and the naturally soulful quality of Eric's voice haunts me every time. EVERY song is good, and, like a previous comment, this has been my main CD in rotation for the better part of a month now and I have also had favorable responses from everyone I've shared it with.
Customer Rating: Summary: Catchy blues makes you want more. Comment: Eric Lindell. I hate to compare him to the likes of Clapton or Vaughn, but he certainly makes a name for himself with this album. I have yet to hear the album released before this one, but I'll be picking it up in the near future. As a musician, you're always concerned with what other people think when you play "your kind of music." Everyone I'm with when I listen to this CD loves it! We need more artists like Eric Lindell. All I can say is - "refreshing!"

When singer/songwriter/vocalist Eric Lindell first hit the national music scene with his 2006 Alligator Records debut CHANGE IN THE WEATHER, critics and fans alike celebrated the arrival of a roots rocker with dozens of unforgettable original songs. With his musical roots planted in Northern California, Lindell s music blossomed in New Orleans. His combination of sweet, blue-eyed soul with foot-stomping R&B, swamp pop, funk and blues have won him critical and popular acclaim across the country. As he toured the U.S., his fan base grew, and before long clubs and festivals were filled with happy, dancing people singing the words to every song. Now he s back with LOW ON CASH, RICH IN LOVE, a collection filled with solid grooves, insightful lyrics and one emotionally rich song after another.
Recorded at Piety Street Studio in New Orleans, LOW ON CASH, RICH IN LOVE will delight Lindell s fan base and will capture the attention of music lovers all over the globe. From the first single Lay Back Down to the undeniable groove of a totally reworked version of Gil Scott-Heron s Lady Day And John Coltrane (the album s sole cover song) to the New Orleans bounce of Tried And True, LOW ON CASH, RICH IN LOVE is Eric Lindell at his very best. His sinewy and soulful vocals recall 1970s Van Morrison, while his guitar and harmonica work are uniquely his own. With sweet saxophones punching in all the right places and grooves building on top of each other, Eric Lindell has created a timeless collection of songs.
