Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Tribute and Excellent Cause Comment: This is an unbelievably good tribute to one of my favorite artists. Neil Young's songs have always been a part of my life and hearing women reinterpret his most popular songs is just brilliant. Tanya Donelly, Britta Phillips, and Lori McKenna turn in my favorite tracks. Dala's slow piano-inspired "Ohio" is beautiful. Jill Sobule does a very hip version of "Down By The River" and Elk City's 'Helpless" is heartbreaking and gorgeous. There's so many good songs on this double-CD it's hard to choose favorites however because they are always changing. With all proceeds going to breast cancer charity, I've already purchased several as gifts. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Bad disc #2 Comment: Although I love the music in this set, being a huge NY fan, I have now received two sets, both of which have bad disc #2's. The recording is very distorted and "wobbly" and seems to be a pressing error. Please check your disc 2 carefully when you get it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Harold Mann screws up again! Comment: I think it's the above reviewer who is incapable of deciphering release dates. This cd was available everywhere (including ITunes) on February 12th.
Please stick to reviewing the music, not the release dates!
