Summary: I'm into it.
Comment: I'm not shure exactly where this killer metal band falls categoricly....I suppose that on this album many would aggree that Otep has taken a sort of "Industrial Metal" approach..rather than the usual alternative poetry meets death metal approach from the previous record. However you categorize it...I'm into this band. I love the lyrics, and as far as female singers in the metal genre go...Otep is by far my favorite. If you like Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, or Fear Factory....it will be easy for you to find something you like in Otep.

Summary: I'll put it real simple..... This b**** needs JESUS!
Comment: 1st off They screwed up a very good NIRVANA song . They shoud not have done that.Instead of otep I call them OCRAP. whoever abused this chick did a number on her .she is weak.....

Summary: Chick Metal meets Slipknot
Comment: Of course the singles "Ghost Flowers" and "Crooked Spoons" are great - both spooky and energetic - but the whole album flows pretty well. Would've given it 5 stars, but I'm not a fan of their cover of Nirvana's "breed" which seemed woefully out of place and whose execution was workmanlike at best. Recommended if you like kittie, slipknot, marilyn manson, or mudvayne.

Summary: I've only heard each song sample, enuff 2 not want 2 buy album!
Comment: I was a huge Otep fan until they put out "The Ascension".Now I'm just a fan.Havin heard only the song samples is enuff 4 me.Every person that posted a review that says the album is their greatest, great,or even good better have based their opinion after havin heard the entire album. Most of the samples are 2 pop metal/radio friendly, slow, melodic,& worst of all...BORING compared 2 Otep's 1st 2 albums.Almost sounds like Otep is trying 2 sell out.The samples sound VERY Nu Metal. So much 4 the long awaited anticipation!Any person that says that this is the heaviest album Otep has ever released needs a psychological evaluation & needs to go bak & hear the 1st 2 albums.Their heaviest album is House of Secrets. Most of the samples don't even sound like traditional Otep as sumbody had claimed that the album does.I might consider this album 2 B ok after I maybe listen 2 it in its entirety, but I'm definitely not in a hurry 2 go out & buy it.This album deserves no more than 2 stars.
