Customer Rating: Summary: Another great album from a blessed brother Comment: I have this album. I think the production gets better each album he puts out. The lyrics are very good though I think the lyrics from his last album are a little better. This one could be more listenable(for lack of a better word)to most.
Customer Rating: Summary: Yes!!! Comment: This is a great cd. Had to give it 4 stars because i always skip over the song the 'rose' and '13 to 30' (I believe that's the name) But he'll really preach to you through these songs if you let him. And the best part is, he's not trying to get the glory so it makes it that much sweeter. He's one of the best christian rappers out there, and he's trying to back up his talk with his walk. A must have a long with his other two albums!
Customer Rating: Summary: Da Truth tells the truth Comment: I really enjoy Da Truth's newest album! His lyrics are up to par, and is delivery (though not as wordy as his last two albums) are still potent and effective. He encourages Christians to shine their light and to learn the Word of God and become a lighthouse for Him. I really listen to this album front to back without skipping through any of the tracks (even though for some reason the "Rose Interlude" bass is a little too much for me...) My favorite tracks are:
"Who Am I" - Lyrics are on point!
"Man Up"- The Beat is sick and the lyrics have a great message
"Star Struck"- as Da Truth says "Let's brag on Him [Jesus] real quick!"
"Price Tag"- a message for those Christians who compromise in the music industry and for those who don't realize being a Christian requires sacrifice
"13 Going on 30"- Great lyrical inspiration for the youth of the church!
"Rose"- Wonderful melody!
Customer Rating: Summary: This dude is the TRUTH! Comment: Straight bangin. Don't sleep, don't think, don't hesitate, just go on an pick it up. You will not be disappointed.
Customer Rating: Summary: One of My Favorite Artists in the Cross Movement Camp Comment: Da t.r.u.t.h.'s maturity shows up on this album. Not only did he make an effort to be transparent, but he took some risks (in my opinion) with the beats. Only one track, "Star Struck" (a banger, by the way), is what I would deem conventional. Some tracks I instantly loved ("Price Tag"), others grew on me ("Open Book"). On lyrics alone, the album would get 5 stars. Christ is definitely in the forefront. However, some of the tracks may be an acquired taste. Nonetheless, he is three for three. I thank God for artists like da t.r.u.t.h.. They may not make millions. However, to quote da t.r.u.t.h., they've got "crowns that are fitted."
