Customer Rating: Summary: Appealing Comment: Ms. Dulfer continues to impress with this very workmen like outing, moreover, the lovely mixture of both jazz and old school R&B suggest that for Dulfer fans that she continues to mine her pedigree as for those new to her music, enjoy, the lady can play.
Customer Rating: Summary: Candy Store Comment: Very cool cd. Except for a couple songs they are all very good. I'm glad I bought the cd.
Customer Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC! Comment: This CD is EXCELLENT from beginning to end. My favorite cut is "L.A. City Lights". I can jam for hours on that selection. I love this CD.
Customer Rating: Summary: candy store is all and more than you expect Comment: Candy shows again how funking sax driven music lives on in the new millennium. with such complementary collaborations and tasty co-producers candy has delivered impecable goods. if you are partial to mixin up genres hip hop rap jazz funk pop then candy store will not disappoint. i love candy dulpher she never ceases to amaze me with her creative landscape of sax grooves and yeah she looks gorgeous but when I close my eyes her soulful heartfelt and playful style is what intoxicates me.
Customer Rating: Summary: Candy's music can stand on her own Comment: The first track has a circus-like assist from a man trying to sound like a DJ which I thought totally distracted from the funky sax playing. If I could edit him out, I think it would be a great song. LA Lights has a superb uplifting beginning with a beautifully haunting close that makes it one of my all-time favorite jazz tunes. She gets more assist from other vocalists later on which, except for Summertime, I also found distracting from her sax performance. Overall: she's young, she's hot, she plays great sax and it's worth the investment.
