Summary: The Best ATB Album So FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment: For all those fans of ATB this is a must have. It has a great balance of songs on the first cd and on the second one is a great selection of instrumental trance that really reaches your senses. You like ATB, you will love this Album.

Summary: First Impressions
Comment: I haven't listened to the whole thing. When I get new music I just throw it into my ipod and hope to come across it during the shuffle. A week or two after getting this album I got into an ATB mood and just played the artist and shuffled all 95 tracks that I have.

I've been a big fan since 1999 with Movin' Melodies which is still one of my favorite albums. Followed "The Summer" into the album Two Worlds, which was different, but not bad. The sound became mature with in the next two albums: Dedicated and Addicted to Music. No Silence sounded a bit different at first but grew on me and now I love it just the same. I've also tried getting into his other works, such as the DJ MIX, but I don't like them.

Sticking to ATB studio creations, I bought Trilogy to get more of the same great trance. As I said, all the tracks are shuffle, which means I've only listened to over five tracks from the entire album. I only enjoy listening to one track repeatedly - Justify; the others are not that great. For perspective, I like every single track from all previous albums. The soft music in Trilogy is softer and bland compared to Two Worlds disc 2. On the upbeat tracks, the distinct rock sound blended with the some trance feels like bland pop-rock.

In the middle of all 95 tracks, Trilogy tracks stick out like a sore thumb. I'm giving it three stars for Justify alone.

Summary: Not like the old days
Comment: I used to be a big fan of ATB 6 or 7 years ago back in my college days. But if you are looking for good trance... DO NOT BUY THIS ALBUM. The second album isn't even music really. Although if you own a massage business it would be nice to play the second CD in the background.

On the first CD I didn't flag ONE of the songs for my top trance playlists. The vocals almost seemed like a joke to me they were so cheesy.

Summary: Even if you don't like vocals (like me) this is still plenty of album.
Comment: I am a really big fan of Trance, but even so, I maybe a bit on my own even within that group.

I enjoyed the second disk. It was possibly more ambient, but that is not why I liked it. It lacked vocals.

Ten out of the 12 songs on the first disk include vocals. I listen to trance, ambient, ethereal to ESCAPE talking. The voice can certainly add sound to a track. In those cases I am fine with it.

I will continue to acquire releases from ATB, but realizing now that his work may include vocals, I will have to scrutanize each CD, song by song and evaluate whether there is enough to each title to warrant a purchase. Being able to purchase individual songs through Amazon is certainly an alternate I will have to persue.

For me this is a 16 song album (I do not upload the 12 songs with vocals to my players). For the money, that is still a LOT of music.

Summary: Best release in years
Comment: This is Andre's best release in years. I was expecting an album much like his others, none of which seemed to progress beyond the sounds we heard on Two Worlds, but this release seems to take him to a new plateau. Of particular note are the first three luscious tracks, with Justify being the best track he's recorded since 99's 9 PM and perhaps ever. I would be thrilled if this song were released as a single. He's been on an uphill climb since the 2005 re-release of Let U Go and for the first time in seven years, I find myself eagerly awaiting what comes next.

Editorial Reviews:

The much anticipated NEW ALBUM containing 26 unreleased, all original songs by one of the world's premier DJs - ATB!

On this, his seventh album, ATB has succeeded in combining two worlds, without intermingling them unnecessarily. Trilogy's first disc ("Dance") provides the electronic and melodious ATB sound blended with a unique rock and pop crossover flavour. The second disc ("Chill"), on the other hand, offers the listener 14 super smooth tracks.

"Every album should have its own soul and a golden thread leading through all the songs. However, you only really feel the soul if you listen to all the songs together. If you mix up the faster and slower songs, that isn't going to work," explains Andre.
