Customer Rating: Summary: Perfectly adequate. Comment: Overall, PtH is a adequate album. There's not much on here that really jumps out and grabs you, though. Few of the hooks or riffs really stood out for me. Some of the more melodic background vocals were a nice change to the metalcore screaming. I'd give this 3.5 stars if I could. Haste doesn't measure up to like, say, As I Lay Dying.
A perfectly adequate album.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great CD Comment: Sounds a lot like Still Remains and just as good. Decent voice, good guitar riffs and right amount of scream and hardcore.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great new direction for HTD Comment: Haste The Day's new album shows that they have matured a lot since they're previous albums. The new lead vocalist adds a new dimension for the band.
As always, HTD plays music that makes sense to anyone and that can be related to anyone's life. GREAT CD.
Customer Rating: Summary: Descent album Comment: This is a pretty solid album. Not a big change from the first two major releases. Personally I thought the first two were better, but this is a very descent album
Customer Rating: Summary: Very Powerful Comment: This is my first HTD CD but I have heard a few songs off their previous albums. You can tell they've matured and evolved, but definitely not in a bad way. People are so quick to criticize a band for maturing and wanting to have their own sound. If they produced the same album over and over they'd be criticized for being redundant. Good bands have to progress...or at least they should.
I've listened to this album probably 20 times and it gets better and better with each listen. Very powerful melodies/harmonies, crushing riffs, and powerful drumming. This album is produced very well. It almost has a "prog" feel to it and the lyrics are interesting. I like the way the opening melody is used at the end of the album.
My favs are Pressure the Hinges, White Collar, Vertigo, and Chorus of Angels is an extremely powerful album closer.
