Customer Rating: Summary: Some funky kind of cool jazz Comment: As I said in my review of The Urban Grooves: Album II, this is the group that first piqued my interest in jazz and got me listening to some different kinds of music besides the steady diet of pop and rock that I had been on. And while this CD is quite good, I can't help getting the feeling that DTTB is still trying to duplicate the success of Urban Grooves. Some of the tunes sound vaguely like they are ripping off or imitating their own material, and at times, they seem to be straining to get that funky jazz sound they are known for. I still go back to this one regularly, but not as often as I do Urban Grooves. This is still worth having if you are funky jazz fan.
Customer Rating: Summary: Shockingly awful... Comment: I thought this CD was the worst. I felt I was at a concert that Down to the Bone wasn't even conscious of. Each piece sounded alike. If it wouldn't cost me to return it, I'd do so gladly.
I played it in my car with 3 friends as we were traveling into the City. Their remarks were, "What/Who the hell is this?" "Take that mess off!"
Need I say more?
Customer Rating: Summary: Supercharged Comment: This is a good CD, but I thought The Best of Done to the Bone was better.
Customer Rating: Summary: Love It! Comment: I believe this to be another edition to the Down To The Bone collection I have. A great buy!
Customer Rating: Summary: Only 1 or 2 good tunes Comment: I own all of Down to the Bone albums and this one is my least favorite.
