Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Major Disappointment Comment: Even to this aerial view and space buff and classical music enthusiast, this product with its minimal and repeated ad nauseum video loop is, I am sorry to say, a total waste of your money. A big zero ripoff. Customer Rating: Summary: Ripoff!!! This is not a good purchase! Comment: This DVD is a ripoff. It only contains 14 minutes of video, which loops over and over again. Then the soundtracks don't correspond to what's on the cover. They mix a bunch of music played in a classical style and call it Bach. For less money you can get the Blu-Ray disc Blue Planet - filmed in Imax with much higher resolution, Walter Cronkite narration and over one hour of unrepeated, unlooping high resolution video from space. Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Imagery Comment: After doing a bit of research, I learned that this footage was filmed during the Endeavour voyage. The imagery is excellent and very clear. Especially considering it was shot from space! I really enjoyed the variety of classical soundtracks to choose from - almost eight hours of music. This is a great disc to play all day long. Customer Rating: Summary: Major disappointment Comment: Buyer beware. I expected an hour of HD images from space. Instead, a viewer gets a blast off sequence and a 10-15-minute loop of images from space repeated four times. I also wanted "a view from space"--not long, hand-held shots of the shuttle's empty cargo bay with a shaky moon in the background. Also, there are distracting blobs, spots, and smears on the camera lens and on the viewing portals. The fourth time you watch the Sahara (or whatever desert it is) through what looks a big bug splat on a windshield, one really wishes that the video was a rental instead of a purchase.
