Comment: I'm glad some of the older videos of Marco Antonio Solis are now on DVD. This is an easier format for me.....even though I have a fairly good collection of his work. He is marvelous. !!!

Summary: One of Mexico's Best Singer/Songwriters
Comment: The Furia Musical Premios recently gave Marco Antonio Solis several awards, among them one for Male Singer of the Decade, and another to honor him for his 30 years as a singer/songwriter. Solis was leader of Norteno/Tejano band Los Bukis for 20 years, and then launched a solo career that has been topping charts for the last decade. Solis is one of Mexico's greatest talents, and the videos on this DVD show why. His songs are melodic and often poetic, and most of them fall into the romantic "lost love" ballad genre, though "El Masoquista" is a fun, upbeat number, and "La Venia Bendita" uses a mariachi band in its arrangement.
The 1st 3 tracks are from the 1996 CD "En Pleno Vuelo," tracks 4 and 5 are from the 1997 "Marco," track 6 dates back to his early time with Los Bukis and the "Falso Amor" CD, and the last 4 are from the exquisite 1999 "Trozos de Mi Alma" CD, which is an all time favorite in my collection, and the final 2 of these is performed live at the Teatro de las Bellas Artes in San Jose, Puerto Rico. The audio and visual quality is excellent, and the approximate running time is 45 minutes. Track list:
