Customer Rating: Summary: so-so roots rock Comment: I agree with the reviewer below. The band is not, overall, very good. In particular the guitar playing is very weak. Potter herself has a turn of phrase and plays passable B3 organ, but if you want the cutting edge of this sort of music, look to Tift Merritt.
Customer Rating: Summary: Two songs great on this cd and worth the purchase, but rest is average. Comment: I heard Grace Potter on Pandora Radio and loved her!! The songs I heard from the cd were "Treat me Right" and "Toothbrush and My Table". The cd purchase was worth it just for those songs, but the rest of the cd was average. I think she needs to work on her writing skills a bit, but she is a wonderful artist and has a very cool voice!
Customer Rating: Summary: Grace Potter rocks Comment: Love GPTN, This is a great album if you are a fan of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Not as good as This Is Somewhere which is an awesome album, but still pretty good.
Customer Rating: Summary: Rockin'! Comment: This album in a foot-thumping favorite. After hearing a song on "Fair Game with Faith Saley" on NPR, I logged on & ordered it. I love every song - the lyrics are spiritual and quirky, amusing and revealing, soulful and soothing.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great new band Comment: I know these guys arn't "new" but if you haven't heard them your missing out!Thier newest album (This is Somewhere) is even better I think. But you definatly want this in your collection. My only wish is that they would play in the North West Ohio area more.
