Summary: Good Remixes
Comment: Most of KJ's songs on this CD are pretty well re-mixed and made better, some of them are made worse... It's a good CD if you like KJ's style but if you're not into his music from the radio then I dont think your opinion will change with this CD.

Summary: Wow....will KJ ever stop churning out great stuff?
Comment: Ok....I will admit that i don't own this cd but I've listened to it and I must say it's amazing. I own the Collaborations album and I've heard his other cds....all I can say is, in my opinion this cd tops them all.

I think part of it has to do with the fact that I'm not the biggest hardcore rap fan and this album seems to add some more intricate instrumentation then the original ones did. I love the fact that he added and rerecorded lyrics so it's not like he's just trying to make money. The messages are great, the songs are great, the beats are great....it's just...great.

I would definately recommend this album if you like Christian rap or hip hop. I would rank this remix album right up there with the Newsboys remix cd and TobyMac's Renovating Diverse City.

Yeah, it's that good.

Summary: Much More than a Remix
Comment: Usually when an artist puts out a remix album, it is for a very specific reason: to cash in again on popular songs while putting in very little work. Most of the songs just feature new beats with very little else. However, KJ-52 surprises us again with something much more than was expected.

First, he did as one might have guessed: laid out a host of killer beats to infuse with his songs. Next, he changed the lyrics up. In some cases, he even added entirely new verses, almost making them completely new songs. By the end of production, many songs became entirely new creatures, similar to their predecessors but remarkable for entirely different reasons. In "Dear Slim Pt. 2" for example, KJ overlays parts of the song with a man telling the true story of how he met Eminem and got the opportunity to give him a copy of KJ's song, "Dear Slim". Though the un-mixed Pt. 2 was very good, the remixed version had an impact on a much deeper level.

Though owners of KJ-52's other albums may be a little hesitant to purchase a CD that contains no new songs; the apparent hard work and love KJ put intothis album makes it fresh, thought-provoking, and just as fulfilling as the first.
