Customer Rating: Summary: Unexpected Gift!!! Comment: What a nice surprise it was when my wife played for me this lullaby CD as we were driving on our vacation. I loved Ewan McGregor's voice in Moulin Rouge and I must admit that I'm still a fan. I can't say that the CD will help facilitate a child anytime soon, but you never know...
I thought all of the arrangements were very well done, and I would have no problem recommending this CD. I think I may have found a pretty cool stocking stuffer. Kudos to Eric Vetro for assembling such an array of "Unexpected Talent."
Customer Rating: Summary: Loved it! Comment: I bought this CD out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised. I especially love the tracks by Scarlett Johansson and Ewan McGregor. What amazing voices! Overall, a great mix for both children and parents.
Customer Rating: Summary: An "unexpected" surprise! Comment: I bought this CD months ago and was truly surprised at how fantastic
it actually is! I am still loving it...the song choices are great by songwriters such
as Billy Joel, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Sade and the Beatles. The singers
all sing with a beautiful, intimate tone without oversinging. (Some
of them are exceptionally good.) And finally the musicians from the LA
Philharmonic orchestra are superb! All in all, it is an extremely unusual
album that I find it to be incredibly relaxing in the evening. Friends
of mine put their son to sleep to it every night and tell me it's their
favorite CD. P.S. It's fun to play "drop the needle" (have I dated myself?)
with your friends and have them try to guess who is singing what!
Customer Rating: Summary: lullaby heaven! Comment: This soothing collection of celebrity lullabys did everything but "put me to sleep". I absolutely love this CD! Not only was I surprised that the celebs could actually sing, but even more delighted to find that the album was enjoyed by my teenagers as well! I have given it as a gift to both new mothers and old friends, all of whom had the same reaction I did. This magical mix of songs from the stars is a great gift to anyone (including yourself!)
Customer Rating: Summary: No Brainer Comment: This cd makes the most perfect gift for new parents or new grandparents - I've given it twice and am on my way to giving it twice again. Of course, I've caught myself listening to Ewan McGregor and John Stamos' songs in the car over and over again. I thought John Stamos' career peaked at "Full House". Who knew? These lovely, touching songs are the perfect way to get "It's A Small World" out of your head forever. You can't go wrong with it.
