Customer Rating: Summary: wow Comment: yeah, why these guys arent the biggest hip hop group in the world is beyond me, they're simply better than anything else out there in my opinion
Customer Rating: Summary: Flipsyde is beyond compare Comment: I caught a video of these guys on the Disney channel while watching cartoons with my kids and decided to check them out. After listening to them for about the hundreth time I keep thinking back to all the hoopla about U2's Joshua Tree with it's combination of political and social issues and as far as relevance Flipsyde blows it away both musically and with profound lyrics. How these guys aren't as big as some of the crap that's on radio is beyond me.
Customer Rating: Summary: I really enjoyed it. Comment: This is one of the best albums ive heard. and thats saying something cause i really dont like rap. the reason i was brought on to buy this album is because of "Happy Birthday". What ppl dont know is that the song belongs to the pop duo "t.A.T.u." if u ever wondered who were those girls singing in the chorus... its them. The song is called "Gomenasai" and its featured in their second album "Dangerous and Moving" the reason its on on all cds is cause they didnt use permision to borrow the song from t.A.T.u. i really like this cd i hope you all do 2.
Customer Rating: Summary: WORK OF TWO GENIUSSES!!!! Comment: Wow, how AWESOME!!!!! When I first heard SOMEDAY on the radio, I couldn't BELIEVE something like this group existed. All kinds of brilliant contrasts are included within this quartet (group of four artists, sorry if the word is wrong): Piper's BRILLIANTLY texted political raps (best example for this: US HISTORY), Steve Knight's AWESOME singing and also rapping voice, as well as his guitar work, the DJ's work of mixing HipHop beats with Knight's and the other guy's guitar arts, and also the skin color contrast between the two lead singers/rappers: Piper black, Steve white. Be it powerful rap like SPUN, SOMEDAY, FLIPSYDE or TRAIN or melodic - balladlike as NO MORE, ANGEL or TRUMPETS, EVERY SINGLE SONG HAS ITS OWN INDIVIDUAL H - I - G - H POTENTIAL!!!!!! In Germany HAPPY BIRTHDAY made Flipsyde big, and I'm curious which song will bring them to the top in the US...
Customer Rating: Summary: one of the better rap groups out there today Comment: When I was younger, i used to listen to a lot of rap. But then as I got older, i got into hard rock and metal, and then into the hardcore/metalcore scene. Every now and then, ill buy a rap album by an artist i used to listen to, but i dont know why i felt compelled to pick "We The People" up. But im glad i did.
Mixing rock, latin, hip hop, r&b, and a couple other genre's, Flipsyde come out with an idea and identity that is completely original and all their's. Lyrically, the songsdeal with past us history, what's going on in the world today, and personal stryfe and demons. One of my favorite song's on this album is "Happy Birthday," A sad, heartfelt personal letter written by one of the group members to his child who was aborted. It brought me to tears when i first heard it.
Check these guys out. You wont be sorry.

FLIPSYDE: Piper - Vocals Steve Knight - Vocals, Acoustic Guitar Dave Lopez - Electric and Acoustic Guitar Flipsyde's music is an unconventional, yet harmonious mix of styles. The top and bottom of their innovative sound is straight-up Hip Hop while the middle punches with rock. These parts are made whole through Piper's consummate MC skills and stinging rhymes, Steve Knight's emotive voice and adhesive melodies plus Dave Lopez' inspired Latin-flavored flourishes of blazing guitar. Of course ... Flipsyde is a natural amalgam in a post-modern world where cultures, beliefs and music collide like wrecking balls but, at once, coexist, interlace and augment our everyday human experience.
