Summary: Hendrix, master of the Stratocaster
Comment: While many have seen snippets of the Woodstock film, this video goes above and beyond being simply a "concert film". It features a well designed and played out story of Hendrix's appearance at Woodstock with the crowning moment of the technicolor footage of the Woodstock performance. It definitely gives you a good feel of what it was like to have "been there".
This video along with Jimi Plays Berkeley are among my favorites. Highly recommended if you're a Hendrix fan.

Summary: Ah! those were the days
Comment: This dvd is simply superb. Watch him in amazement, you will see that all other guitarists come in second. He has no peers. The sound amazes for something recorded in the 60s', not quite the same standards as those recorded these days but great none the less. If you are a music fan of the era its a must.

Comment: This was a gift for my brother. He absolutely loves it and he is all into this kinda stuff. He is also 19 and has been playin the electric guitar since he was about 10. He knows great music composition when he hears it and he loves this. Great Buy!

Summary: It's Jimi at Woodstock, what else do you need to know
Comment: Ok, maybe you should know that the congo player is in most of the shots of Jimi (Jimi, why did you put him right next to you?), and he's really distracting (even though you can't hear him), that aside this is truly classic, and for the price it's offered at to me it's a no brainer.

Summary: PERHAPS THE GREATEST ELECTRIC GUITAR PERFORMANCE EVER RECORDED
Comment: If you love guitar rock and want a great energy boost for the day from a music source, then get Jimi Hendrix-Live at Woodstock and listen to it in 5.1 stereo.
The performance from 1969 was amazing, and the magnificent reproduction done for the Dolby 5.1 soundtrack is quite breathtaking. Hendrix never sounded so good. I would even dare say that it might have edged out his groundbreaking, immortal performance at Monterey, which was well encapsulated for DVD by those responsible for the Criterion Collection set.
There is no bland song present. Even when it appeared that the music would begin to mellow, Jimi would either start hitting the chords or suddenly pick up the quick series of string pluckings to show that no one during his day was his equal when it came to performing on stage with the amplifiers, reverb and all.
I implore you to get this set if you want to listen to a master at work. Eddie Van Halen is great, Clapton is go(o)d, Jimmy Page is awesome, and Ace Frehley cannot be denied (especially in Kissology), but Jimi Hendrix was a stage show of his own kind.
