Customer Rating: Summary: Stunning! Comment: This is an absosutely stunningly wonderful album! I can only say that these arrangements and performance are among the finest, most musically perfect I have heard in recent years. I think this young lady is really outstanding! Blackbird and The Circle Game... It doesn't come any better than this!
An outstanding set of songs!
Customer Rating: Summary: Sara's voice is utter perfection Comment: If you want to hear a great vocalist doing really interesting versions of standards, along with some wonderful original tunes, this is the album for you.
Sara's voice is pure honey, and her band is wonderful. Her drummer, Matt Slocum, is particularly talented. It's not often that I find myself hoping for a drum solo, but Matt's playing does that. He brings a lyricism to the drums that only a very few players out there do -- a true jazz drummer.
I had the great honor of having Sara and her band sing at my wedding, just before they'd started recording this album. I'm in the classical music business, and I asked a friend w/jazz connections if she could help me find a band for my wedding. She asked me what sort of things I like. When I replied, "I love Ella Fitzgerald," she said she knew exactly who I should hire. She approached Sara on my behalf, and after hearing her and the band at the Jazz Bakery in Los Angeles, I was blown away. I hired her on the spot. Sara's a very nice, down to earth person, on top of being a prodigious talent. I feel very blessed to have had her be a part of that special day -- made even more special by the great music she provided.
I can't wait to get my hands on her next album.
Customer Rating: Summary: clean crisp voice Comment: this is the first I have heard of her and what a refreshing clean voice. I put her right up there with Linda Eder and Others. I can't wait for her new CD- sometime this year.
Customer Rating: Summary: AWESOME!!!! Comment: I first saw Sara in Seattle....although I'm from TX. Hubby and I were totally enthralled. I have worn out the CD we purchased that evening. I have seen her live several times since...she continues to blow me away. If you close your eyes you would think she was in her 30's....such maturity in her voice. I attended another concert in Seattle and was able to get her "in-between" CD to hold us over until the next CD comes out....it is just as awesome!!
There are not enough words to describe Josh either!! Where did he learn to play and write?!! WOW!!! I love all of his work!!
I can't wait for the new CD!! You will miss out on totally awesome music if you don't buy this now!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: This girl will be a household name one day. Comment: I heard Sara in Dallas last weekend, and she has it. That special star quality and all the talent to make it big - remember this name - you'll hear it often someday. In a sea of no-talent singers in the mainstream these days, Sara is a welcome audition. Don't miss this one.

Sara Gazarek's artistic abilities display a deep appreciation and understanding of jazz on Yours, the debut album from this 23-year-old Seattle-born vocalist. A collection of classic jazz interpretations and two original tracks penned by Sara's pianist, Yours brings together a solid cast of production talent in producer/arranger John Clayton (Diana Krall, Renee Olstead, Natalie Cole) and recording engineer and 15-time Grammy® Award winner Al Schmitt (Ray Charles, Diana Krall, Natalie Cole, Steely Dan) to create a lasting impression on first-time listeners.
Album highlights include Cole Porter's "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye," Joni Mitchell's "The Circle Game," and "Amazing," an original song written by longtime collaborator Josh Nelson.
