Customer Rating: Summary: More Global Grooves from the Paris Buddha Bar. Comment: Whenever I'm in Paris (which isn't often enough), I make it a point to to get my Buddha Groove on at the Buddha Bar, which (in addition to its passionfruit martinis) is known for its avant-garde "Lounge" and "Chill" playlist. The "Buddha Bar" series was started by Tunisian house DJ Claude Challe, who practically invented the chill genre of lounge music in 1999 by mixing Occidental elements with spiritual elements together in his music. Produced and sequenced by Buddha Bar house DJs Ravin and David Visan, Buddha Bar 7 is an intoxicating fusion of electronica-driven global grooves with Brazilian, Vietnamese, Hungarian, Indian, and Malian influences and hip Parisian references. Of the Buddha Bar CDs I own, volume 7 is my personal favorite. The 30 tracks featured on the two CDs include:
Disc 1 ("Sarod"):
1. Breathe - (with Bliss)
2. Huong Vietnam - (with My Phuong Nguyen/Thiery David)
3. Light Signs - (with Riccardo Eberspacher)

Customer Rating: Summary: Fantastic Comment: All the musics and remix done in this cd are wonderful. I can't stop hearing it.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Best Buddha Bar Album Comment: This is the best Buddha Bar album I own, the older they get, the slower the music seems to get. There is a great mix of nationalities represented and the songs don't get too monotonous with the electronic beats. Aja Maji, Aganju, Flute Fantasy, Perfume, Mama Guela, Uzomaka, and Drum'n Boogaloo are my favorites!
Customer Rating: Summary: Just as good as we hoped it would be! Comment: This is a great CD. We heard it in a restaurant and were so impressed that we wrote down the name and recently bought it. One disc is more relaxing and the other is a little more on the "party" side-both are great fun.
Customer Rating: Summary: Buddha Bar Specilist, Comment: great CD needs no review just get it
Very strong
Crossection of music for all tastes
Even breattaking at times

Editorial Reviews:

Ravin and David Visan have again served up a luscious, alchemical brew in which the purity of traditional sounds blends with pulsing electro in the holiest of unions. "Sarod", the first disc, serves up a harmonious yet assorted platter of Brazilian, Vietnamese, Hungarian, Indian, and Malian sounds. "Sarangi", the second disc, is a homage to Ustad Sultan Khan, elegantly riding a joyful electro-ethnic wave, alighting here and there to be serenaded by such artists as Mabagaya Project, Tito Rodriguez, or King Britt.
