Summary: A "must have" for Roy Orbison fans....
Comment: I wasn't sure how I would like a black and white DVD concert, however after listening to just the first song I completly forgot about it not being in color. The music and vocals are fantastic. I have shared this with my friends and all have enjoyed it as much as I did and will continue to do so in the future. If there was any problem with the DVD, it would have been that I'm still hearing the songs going through my head two weeks after watching it. Not that that is a bad thing......

Comment: QUALITY, THAT IS THE ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE THIS DVD. I SAW THIS ON TV A FEW YEARS AGO AND ALWAYS WANTED TO GET IT. THE SOUND ON THIS DVD IS THE BEST YOU WILL HEAR ON ANY CONCERT FOOTAGE. ORBISON'S VOICE IS PERFECT. HIS SINGING IS AT IT'S BEST AND IF THAT DOESN'T SELL THIS DVD THE BACKGROUND SINGING IS JUST AS GOOD. I WILL CHERISH THIS DVD FOR MANY YEARS, I JUST WISH ROY WAS STILL WITH US.

Summary: Pure Orbison Bliss
Comment: One of the main strengths of this films that it is not peppered with dialog and odd celebrities that evidently never saw Roy, describing his life and works.
The presentation, recorded live at the Cocoanut Grove in Los Angeles, moves quickly from one song to the next. And even though the visuals are good it is the music that makes this well worth the purchase. If you have a favorite it is here. Songs are more than disembodied entertainment. As with most people they bring back memories or create new memories that are associated with them. We can see that they are more than just songs to Roy also. My favorite is "It's over".

Comment: This DVD should be in everyone's collection. It is a part of our musical history and preserves one of Rock and Rolls giants in this classic performance. The back up performers only add to it's historical importance.

Summary: A Night to Remember!
Comment: Roy Orbison, a true legend in rock music. I first saw this DVD on public television and I knew that I had to have it. It's very fitting that this DVD was done in black & white. When Roy Orbison was at the top of his game that was all there was. When you consider the great production that went into this DVD along with all-star band and back-up singers this is a must have for Roy Orbison fans, or just fans of some of the greatest rock music ever recorded.
