Customer Rating: Summary: Just a joy Comment: I went to the latest National Treasurer movie and enjoyed the scene where the Nicholas Cage character meets up with the President at Mt. Vernon. At the festive occasion a band is playing and they show a clip of Randy Travis singing a catchy song. I went to the store and looked for the song from the movie. What a surprise to find song after song on this album that really hit home. I never was a country music fan but Randy Travis has me listening - at least to him. I'll get more albums. What a pure talent. Thanks for the joy.
Customer Rating: Summary: Randy Travis Comment: His music is wonderful and what a success story for both he and his manager!
Customer Rating: Summary: A GREAT INCOMPLETE CD Comment: This is truly an almost perfect cd that has all of randy travis's best material, but it is missing one song that was a hit and should have been in this collection , but for some reason it isn't , the song is 1982 . like I said this is an almost perfect cd that just lacks one song , and too me that is kind of a let down so I'll just have to give it 4 stars.
Customer Rating: Summary: Made me a fan! Comment: I never really listened to Randy Travis before I bought this CD, but I'm so glad I bought it now. Now I know why he's so famous. His voice is so pleasing and genuine; Randy brings his songs to life. Although I'm not a big country music fan, I still enjoyed all 20 tracks. Maybe Randy Travis has made me a country music fan! Just a great collection. The only shame is that it doesn't have more material...forty songs would still be ok. Anyways, its probably the best intro to Randy Travis you'll find on the market.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best of Randy Travis Comment: Wonderful CD. I listen to it all the time. Just can't get over his beautiful voice and down home lyrics. I wish he were singing his love songs to me!

The emergence of North Carolinian Randy Travis heralded a sea change in contemporary country. The true pioneer of the hugely popular new traditionalist movement, Travis helped reconnect the genre with its roots. His 1986 debut, Storms Of Life, delivered two #1 singles and became country's first-ever multiplatinum album. Getting back to basics never felt so good, and Travis remained countryâs dominant voice for years- "Forever And Ever, Amen," from '87's Always & Forever , launched a run of seven consecutive country chart-toppers. He hit #1 most recently in '03 with the award-winning "Three Wooden Crosses," and he remains indisputably, one of country's all-time superstars.
