Summary: KIck out the jams and rock the block
Comment: Bob Schneider is a musical chameleon. He seems to morph from one genre to another effortlessly. Play one track and he is channeling Tom Waits. Skip up a few and the illest G rap'n the hood. Even sugar coated POP just a hair shy of being over-produced, Mouseketeer music is not impossible for this guy. Lyrically he can be deep as a novelist writing his swan song (Getting Better) "Feeling the amazing flow of centuries in the afterglow". A song Bob wrote about how much better things are becoming... now that he's dead, or as shallow and playful as Capn Kirk. "I wanta be like captain Kirk. Get up everyday and love to go to work". I'm Good Now is only one of three solo CD's Bob has released, but his work with The Ugly Americans spans several more. I look forward to the adventure of adding his other musical and lyrical musings to my collection, as will you.

Comment: With the exception of the live recording I have from the acoustic show I attended, this is my favorite Bob Schneider CD. Great lyrics, strong music, and lots of feeling.
THIS is the CD for all Bob fans, just starting out or old pros. A must have for the collection.

Comment: not bad, but i like his earlier album, "lonelyland" better. most of these songs on this album are a little softer & slower.

Comment: Listening to Bob's music is amazing; you get different styles and types of music, from funk to mambo to country to rock, all on the same disc from the same artist. Bob is a true musical artist, as is clearly demonstrated from his albums. I saw them play live in Hollywood, and the live show was even better than his albums. I've seen lots of bands that only play, bring "tortured" by their music, or ones that just talk about their message or political cause or whatever, but Bob and his band were just there to rock the house and have a great time. Definitely see them live, it's easily one of the best shows I've ever seen, and cost $25.
