Comment: It's funny, it's thought-provoking and it's just freakin good hip hop. The Symph knows how to make good hip hop; they've been at it for a while and you can tell from this CD. Check out their website and Pigeon John's CD... then you'll have seen some of the best things hip hop has to offer- Christian or not.

Comment: I heard one of their songs and I liked it. So I went out and bought their new cd The End is now by LA Symphony. The whole cd has a good sound. It has catchy beats. All the artists have very good talent. It wasn't until I decided to listen to the lyrics and not the beat that I had a problem. Don't get me wrong this is a good cd with good lyrics. But what makes a cd a Christian cd. How are they telling people about Christ from this cd? Is this cd supposed to witness to people? I heard maybe two tracks that might mention Christ/God. This was the first cd that I had bought from them so I have not listened to any of their other cds. It also disturbed me that they had a Christian version and a mainstream version of the cd released one under Gotee and the other Basement. My question who are they trying to reach? What's their mission? I don't think they really know. If you are going to release a cd on a Christian label than you need to be talking about something that follows what the bible says. If all you care about is clean lyrics this is excellent cd for you.

Summary: The Dopenessssssss
Comment: This is a very good cd. 2 tracks are just phenomal 'end is now' and 'ghana homage'. They definitly bring amazing energy and wonderful west coast style. All the beats are quite tight. Even though they are christians, i'm begging you not to label them lamos like 90% of 'christian' rappers. For those who are wondering why there has to be a 'clean' version, it's b/c of the use of the word n*****, but as far as I now that's the only offensive language. This album stands comprable to the best....

Comment: hip hop, az most true headz will tell u, iz just about 2 have itz last ritez written up and read 2 it by tha light of a fire not entirely unlike tha one that claimed many a disco record on a chicago ballpark in tha summer of '79. simply put: hip hop in general haz become too formulaic and devoid of any artistic merit. enter tha west coast'z L.A. Symphony, a conglomerate of lyricistz who are Christianz, but u couldn't tell that from tha outset. from tha openin' track ("the end is now") on thru 2 a remixed verzion of tha first single ("gonna be alright"), theze catz have it all 2gether. flynn adam atkins iz tha chief beatmaker among them all, but pigeon john and b-twice (brainwash projects), cookbook, and greatjason (fka j-beits) round out tha producerz. thiz iz truly a diff'rent flavour, nothin' too commercial, nothin' too unorthodox, and given that theze guyz are Christianz, nothin' too preachy, either. this iz their second cd ("composition no 1" bein' tha first) and tha production quality iz much better this time around. they claim that the end iz now.....maybe it iz 4 hip hop and thoze alleged charttopperz in tha genre who think they are, but it ain't 4 L.A. Symphony. do your soul a favour and cop this. peace.
