Customer Rating: Summary: one night I would have loved to have been there for ... Comment: The "silent Beatle" George was probably the best musician of the group and it shows by the friends that came to preform that night. All musicians of the highest caliber. This concert was a thing George would have enjoyed, so many friends all coming together to celebrate his life. Every song was perfect match for evening. Starting off with Ravi, Anoushka Shankar right through to Joe Brown singing one of my favorites that I keep on listening to over and over "I'll see you in my dreams". The Production beautiful, sound was great and content superb. My thanks to all for a lovely night Denny
Customer Rating: Summary: A Tribute to George Comment: This was a wonderful tribute to George Harrison. The music was really good performed by his good friends and a great variety of what he had written.
Customer Rating: Summary: A wonderful Benifit/Memoriam For George Harrison Comment: When I viewed this concert for the first time, I was awe struck as to how well made it was. Perfect in every way. George would have loved this! Great preformances, sound quality perfection. a real delightful piece of music history you will want to watch again and again! (Realy)
Customer Rating: Summary: It was great Comment: My husband love it so much we order a 2nd for a friend for his birthday
Customer Rating: Summary: There are no words in the english language to describe this DVD Comment: There are no words in the english language to describe this DVD...All Things Must Pass, Isn't it a Pity, Photogragh, My Sweet Lord, While my Guitar Gently Weeps, See You in My Dreams...and finaly The Inner Light with Jeff Lynne and Anoushka Shankar...I can't forget the venerable percussioninst Ray Cooper as well.
Many musicians try and organize the songs on their albums to try and tell a story, well this album effortlessly puts together George's Life and Soul...If you don't buy the DVD, at least buy the CD...But the DVD is astounding. Photography, lighting, scenery.. it is all here...Just seeing the greatest of the greats on stage...All of the background performers that hold up the stars are here, as well as the greatest of the greats, together to honor the mystical music of George Harrison. While I never quite got the whole idea of Billy Preston being the '5th Beatle'...now it is clear and concise...just watch and learn, watch and learn...
There are simpy not the right words...
I Started watching and listening to this before my daughter was born, now she is two,and absolutely must listen to this every car ride. She yells out 'george, george' What could be a better review than a two year old begging for more George Harrison. It is timeless and you never get tired of it. Every time I watch it, I discover something new about the DVD.
It is truly awesome to see and hear...

Filmed on November 29, 2002 before a sold-out audience at Royal Albert Hall in London, "The Concert For George" is a beautifully filmed, joyous celebration of some of the most significant music of the 20th Century. Friends including Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Ravi & Anoushka Shankar, the cast of Monty Python and other artists who worked with George Harrison throughout his lifetime, present his music in a special concert to commemorate the first anniversary of his passing. This 2 DVD set includes the full 2 hour & 40 minute concert and the 1 hour 40 minute documentary filmed in high definition by David Leland ("Band Of Brothers") featuring concert footage and interviews with the artists about George's life and music. Documentary produced by Ray Cooper, Olivia Harrison and Jon Kamen.
