Summary: Great Anthology Of An Underrated Southern Rock Band
Comment: 20TH CENTURY MASTERS is a great anthology by Wet Willie, who were one of the most underrated Southern rock bands of the 70s. Perhaps the reason they never achieved the recognition of such bands as the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Marshall Tucker Band, the Outlaws, or even Molly Hatchet and Blackfoot, is because unlike those bands, who based their sound on a country-rock-blues hybrid, Wet Willie's sound was heavily rooted in R&B, soul, and even gospel, and featured very little, if any, lead guitar playing. Nevertheless, they were just as good as those bands, and are worth rediscovering.

Comment: Wet Willie is an original and a classic, I purchased this album a couple months ago, (from amazon of course) I really like this compilation, however it is missing "Street Corner Serenade" which I think was the best Wet Willie song ever. So that explains the 4 star rating...

is "Everything that cha' do will come back to you." I heard it on my raido staion in Raleigh NC, and I was hooked well either way all I have to say about the band is they rock.!!
