Customer Rating: Summary: Greatest Music I've Ever Heard Comment: I had only ever heard Orinoco Flow (sail away) and Only Time. But this is one of the most beautiful collections of music I have ever heard. I ordered one for my son, and just tried to order one for my granddaugter, but somehow ended up with Amazon's preferred selection for me.
I love Amazon, but don't do my choosing for me. I am very well capable of doing that myself, thank you.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Collection for Enya Fans Comment: I had a bunch of Enya albums as copy from friends and MP3's from the internet. The number of Enya songs I collected over the years grew until I realized that I seem to be somewhat of an Enya fan.
I found this collection, which resembles all important songs she ever did and more. I checked that, because I wanted to make sure that all my favorites from different albums are included.
The price tag is a little bit too high IMO, but it is still cheaper than buying all the individual albums. I had all the songs before, but I wanted to make sure that I pay money to support the artist to continue to create great music.
The music is great and the famous songs from the Lord of the Rings movies by Peter Jackson, "Only Time" and "May it be" are included as well as the old hit song "Orinoco Flow". The music is rich and Enyas voice unforgettable. You won't get any dance beats, but a rich and full melodic and emotional music experience, which is perfect for chilling out and relax from every day stress.
I am now looking for the concert DVDs, which seem to unavailable for unknown reasons. Hey, if you don't re-publish them again, when they are out of stock, don't complain if people look for copies on the Internet. There is money left on the table here.
Customer Rating: Summary: Enya Collection Comment: I have very much enjoyed listening to this collection of music. I have been a long-time fan of Enya. Her music is very relaxing without putting you to sleep.
Customer Rating: Summary: music's good but not great ( 3.5 stars ) Comment: Brought this set to see what's the hype about enya. The packaging is superb, although I would rather have simpler package if that means $10-15 in cost reduction. The recording is fantastic, but the music is only so-so. The tracks have mainstream appeal but often lack the complexity and beauty like those from Secret Garden's. If you like this type of music, give Secret Garden a try.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent music Great collection Comment: The music is excellent and the purple velvet box looks nice as well.

A wonderful gift, this handsomely packaged four-CD box set (purple velvet cover, gold-foil lettering) also serves as an inviting midcareer retrospective of an uncommon vocalist-sonic architect. Only Time: The Collection is a mix-and-match assortment of tracks spanning Enya's first five U.S. releases (including her 1987 debut, The Celts) and embellished with a half-dozen B-sides not found on her previous U.S.-released albums. Chief among them are "May It Be" (from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack); "Isobella," a hushed, slowly evolving beauty formerly available only in Japan; and "Oiche Chiun (Silent Night)." The set's fourth disc is an enhanced CD that includes 1996 video footage of Enya performing "Oiche Chiun" during a BBC special. Also included is a 44-page, tall-format booklet filled with regal artist photos, song lyrics, and commentary on each track written by lyricist Roma Ryan. Some notations are throwaway items. Others are insightful, such as the unfinished lyrics (about lost love) for the instrumental title track to A Day Without Rain. The order is a jumble, usually mixing tracks from two recordings onto one disc. The stylistic difference between her dated 1987 debut and the sophistication of 1988's Watermark makes for some occasionally jarring listening on disc one. On the other hand, the opening sequence on disc three ("After Ventus," "No Holly for Miss Quinn," "The Memory of Trees") is mesmerizing. Overall, nicely done. --Terry Wood
