Customer Rating: Summary: Good Irish Pub Rock / Punk Comment: If you like bands like The Pogues, Dubliners etc. you will like this as well. Nothing really surprising or new, just good Irish folklore in "pub rock" or even punk style. Big load of energy and sentiments. Listening this, all you want to do is go to good Irish pub, collect couple pints of Guinness and probably switch to Irish whiskey later...
Customer Rating: Summary: Floggin Mollies; Drunken Lullabies. Comment: Great entertainment and it was received in great condition. Great job on getting the product to me as quick as you did.
Customer Rating: Summary: Craic Comment: The best of the Flogging Molly albums and that is saying something.
The first 7 songs especially a ripping good time of craic.
Customer Rating: Summary: An excellent CD Comment: The Clancy Brothers, The Irish Rovers, The Dubliners, The Chieftains and The Coors have all drawn on and contributed to the music of Ireland. Their contributions have produced an electric lively interesting sound. Flogging Molly is building on this heritage and expanding it. They have a sound that is a combination of Irish music and punk rock that is attracting and beguiling. My introduction was a ring tone on my son's phone, they will appeal to any student of Irish music. This is my second Flogging Molly CD and will not be my last. This CD can be a good introduction or an excellent addition to your CD collection. The title song, Drunken Lullabies, is a very strong introduction and sets the tone for a the selection of songs. What's Left of the Flag, If I Ever Leave This World Alive and The Kilburn High Road appeal to me and get played often.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Best Damn Pogues Cover Band Ever! Comment: When the Pogues broke up (Shane left) I grew so depressed, because there was nobody out there that came close to capturing that powerful Irish sound. Then came Flogging Molly and happiness returned. This band rocks! They are a little more on the rock side than the folk side, is comparison to the Pogues. Please take no offense to the title review for this CD, just to be compared to the Pogues means greatness in my book.

This is the second album from the Los Angeles based octet, Flogging Molly. Taking influence from their Irish roots and the sound of the Californian punk scene, 'Drunken Lullabies'is a mix of brash punk rock guitars, violins, whistles and accordians. The band are often compared to the Pogues and fellow punk band, The Dropkick Murphys.
