Summary: X-Ecutioners - Built From Scratch
Comment: Classic album. These guys ARE nasty on the turntables, one of the best. They put together the most complete and ILL sounding tracks ever. Tracks like "A Journey Into Sound" its frickin amazing. These guys got mad skills on the turntables and putting together beats, hands down. If you hate on this, you dont know real skill on this sh** cause these guys are the realness. One of their first albums to be released, and I recommend you go pick this up right now, if you like Turntablism, and Hip Hop. Because some of the joints on here got rapping on them, and most are beats included with some ILL scratching. Get this now.

Summary: Very Solid Album, Worth Purchase! 4 STAR!
Comment: This is one of da MUST HAVE album if you're into DJ Scratchin' stuff! X-Ecutioners is one of the most talent DJ group! Their Scratchin' turntable skills is Grand fo' sho'! Plus they can produce some really Tight Beat!

With some really Nice Guest appearance, like da rap legendary Large Professor, some famous Rap Star like Big Pun, Xzibit, Inspectah Deck from WU TANG, even include two member of Mainstream Rap/Metal group Linkin Park!

Some of my Favorite is:
XL Featuring Large Professor

X-ecutioners Scratch
A Journey Into Sound
X-ecutioners (Theme) Song
Feel The Bass
B-boy Punk Rock 2001
It's Goin' Down featuring Linkin Park
Dramacyde featurin' Big Pun and Kool G Rap
and Genius Of Love 2002

Great Production, many great song, Many Great Guest Appearance,

Summary: Solid Album
Comment: The album is a solid album. Though the skits can be a little long the album itself is well produced and the guest appearances give the album depth. The X-ectioners are definitely the premiere DJ group. Check out the solid introduction by Triple Threat DJs (Vinroc, Shortkut and Apollo) it's a great opener, if you like the X-ecutioners you'll enjoy Triple Threat .... I believe they have an album coming out....

Summary: Very good CD! The best DJ CD out there!
Comment: to tell you the truth, the only reason why I bought this CD was because I'm a big Linkin Park fan and I loved the "It's Goin Down" track and I wasn't expecting this to be that good of a CD, but boy was I wrong! I'm not really into hip-hop and rap (I like rock, but some rap is okay) but this CD really was very very good. The only other DJ CD I have is Freestylers "We Rock Hard" which I don't know if its even a DJ CD but it sure sounded like it, and I really loved that CD! anyway, I really recommend this CD to everyone who likes underground hip-hop/rap, and to anyone who actually enjoyed Linkin Park's my opinion kick [behind] "Reanimation" because "Built From Scratch" kind of sounds like some of the rap remixes! Get this album only if you like underground rap!

Editorial Reviews:

The follow-up to the X-Ecutioners' revolutionary debut is well worth the five-year wait. It's bigger, badder, and even more technically proficient than its predecessor, weighing in at 20 tracks constructed from scratches, skits, beat juggles, flares and fades, cuts, pitch plays, studio trickery, and live drums and guitar (played by the DJs). MC performances come courtesy of M.O.P, Kool G Rap, Large Professor, and Pharoahe Monch, and there are DJ collabs with Premier, Dan the Automator, the Beat Junkies, and Triple Threat, as well as an unlikely but successful pairing with Mike Shinoda and Mr. Hahn of Linkin Park fame. It's a quality piece of work, with old- and new-school references liberally scattered throughout (check the updates of Marley Marl's "Marley Scratch," Whiz Kid's "Play That Beat Mr. DJ," and Tom Tom Club's "Genius of Love"). A must. --Paul Sullivan
