Comment: If you're a Sade fan you will love this DVD. This is just a great concert; the band goes from performing old Sade favorties like No Ordinary Love, Jezebel, Paradise, Cherish the Day, Cherry Pie, to songs from Lovers Rock. The band is amazing and Sade is sultry and beautiful.

Comment: Wow!!! I just finished watching this DVD. Thank the Lord for talent such as Sade, Anita Baker, Basia, etc. If you didn't like the quality, perhaps you should view the DVD on something other than your IPOD. This DVD is absolutetly mesmerizing.

Comment: This DVD is among my favorites and I enjoy a wide range of musical styles. Sade and the band performed flawlessly and the mix is tremendous. The arrangements are precise and the performance extremely powerful with an amazing amount of air underneath. This is very conducive of Sade's style and what we love about her. She is lovely and sings like an angel. A must have DVD.

Comment: I ordered what was described basically as a kick butt DVD of Sade's 2001 concert tour. It arrived in time for my wife and me to relive one of the most enjoyable concerts we've attended. For 2 hours Sade pranced around bare foot in a pour-in gown, occasionally turning around to gyrate her well-formed backside, teasing the guys of course, but also causing the ladies to scream as well. At the same time the audience and we were singing along with her and repeatedly rising to our feet, applauding and dancing at the same time. And Sade's got to have the baddest band on the planet. They rock! Unlike some others this DVD lived up to the hype. It's 5 star.

Sade fans may experience a range of emotions while watching the first-rate Lovers Live, but one thing they won't feel is shortchanged--not with nearly two hours of concert footage, 22 songs (including almost all of her Lovers Rock album), and DVD bonus features galore. That sultry, soulful Sade sound is in full effect throughout the concert (filmed at two Southern California locations in 2001), brought to life by a capable band, some superbly evocative visuals and sound effects, and, of course, the singer herself. The show is dramatic, but never overly theatrical; best of all, Sade, while perhaps not the world's greatest performer, is an adult--you'll find no pop-princess posing here. Of the nine songs from Lovers Rock, "Slave Song" and "Immigrant" are especially moving, revealing that Sade added some new flavors to her sound during her protracted layoff from performing. This show is pure Sade--and that's a good thing. --Sam Graham
