Customer Rating: Summary: Great compilation album Comment: This album is a very good compilation album. Compared to others which only have a artists best hits this album has the chart toppers and good songs. The majority of songs are from the 1970's and have that great 70's smooth jazz sound a la Bob James. If you are a fan of Ashford and Simpson and 70's music get this album. The only 80's song in here is Solid which is a great song and brings back memories of when I was in high school watching music video's.
Customer Rating: Summary: Hard to find Comment: "Somebody Told A Lie" is one of the most beautiful and romantic songs ever written in my humble opinion and I am so happy to have found it again on this compilation!
Customer Rating: Summary: Outstanding Album! Comment: The songs by Ashford & Simpson reminds me when I was just a lit-
tle girl from 1974-1986! I remember seeing one of their videos
on Music Video 60 in 1984 like Solid! Great Job, Ashford & Sim-
pson, you'll are the greatest singers in The R&B Industry!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: I'd Know You Anywhere Comment: This package is really top of the line. I really like what this group sings about. I mean, Anywhere is the baddest song ever and they have another song off of a very hard to find album Come as You Are the song titled, Tell the Truth which is a strong gospel/soul arrangement. That song should have been placed in this packet cause it kicks!! I really like Valerie the most as she reminds me of a very soulful Carly Simon. I am fortunate to have both of here solo albums that she made back in the early 70s Exposed and Valerie Simpson. But this packet does do some really good songs and I like it a lot.
Customer Rating: Summary: Sept. 2003 - COME AS YOU ARE - A&S Comment: This is a great CD, however, there's one album in particular that I have been looking for since it came out in 1976 -- 'Come As You Are', which contains the song "It'll Come, It'll Come, It'll Come." It's been out of print for so long. Can anyone tell me where I can get a copy from, please.
