Customer Rating: Summary: Totally 80s Comment: It's the 80s, and I love the 80s! Not much more to say than that!
Customer Rating: Summary: Think of the best of the Simple Minds and you have it here! Comment: Simple Minds have put out a lot of great work but have only a small main streem raido audience. Their musical life have evolved through out the years from small clubs of dark keyboardings and mirky words to and guitar anthems played at live aid and up beat positve lyrics. All in all it is very impressive amount of work and all of it is very good. So once agian, think of the best of the Simple Minds and you have it here!
Customer Rating: Summary: Vintage Simple MInds Comment: Just a great 2 CD set, if you are a Simple Minds fan then you will listen to it over and over.
Customer Rating: Summary: Classic Music! Comment: I was aware of the existence of Simple Minds in the mid-'80's. I was familiar with "Don't You (Forget About Me)", of course, and I heard them on Saturday Night Live doing that song and "Sanctify Yourself". As a Christian, I loved that title, and I heard one person consider this band in the same category as U2 and ATF, being mainstream bands of Christians.
I am not an expert on the lyrics, but I don't see anything I object to (I may be wrong) by this band. I really love their musical style.
Favorite tracks are "Don't You (Forget About Me)", "Promised You A Miracle", "Alive and Kicking", "Glittering Prize", "Sanctify Yourself", "Ghostdancing", "Speed Your Love To Me", "Life In A Day", "Let There Be Love", "Stand By Love", and "Belfast Child".
Customer Rating: Summary: Good for 1 song Comment: I bought this CD for 1 song and that's the only one on the CD that I like.
