Customer Rating: Summary: Emcees like him are an Endangered species! Comment: Standout tracks: TWINZ, HOW WE ROLL, OFF THE BOOKS(classic), BANNED FROM TV(minus NORE's crappy verse), MAMMA, BRAVE IN THE HEART, THE DREAM SHATTERER(original version), JOHN BLAZE(ccclassic!), MY WORLD WORLD, FIRE WATER(even Fat Joe's verse was fire), CLASSIC VERSES(Remy Ma before she became wack), WISHFUL THINKING and HOW WE ROLL98. Filler none. Bottom Line: Big Pun was definetely a force to be reckoned with. He had a killer flow his punchlines were hilarious and last but definetely not least he was hip hop. Its unfortunate that his right hand man(Fat Joe)went pop after he died. If Pun was alive now one would have to wonder if he could still respect a fool that put out wack albums like Jelous Ones Still Envy, Loyalty and All Or Nothing?
Customer Rating: Summary: Must have Comment: This album is a must have for any Big Pun fan. Christopher Rios will be missed, but his music lives on and will always be remembered for his mastery with words. A Society for the Commonwealth Master Lyricist, Big Pun delivers where others fall short. This CD is the best way to get to know this man's lyrical genius. If you have to have one Big Pun album, let it be this one.
Customer Rating: Summary: Big Punisher= Endangered Species Comment: The one person who can be credited with bringing latin hiphop to the forefront is Big Punisher aka Christopher Rios, Terror Squads best MC,. "Endangered Species" is first and maybe only post-death album, new tracks include the lead single "How we Roll" feat. Ashanti is a excellent track where Pun drops addictive verses, among Puns best work ever. "Mamma" feat. Tony Sunshine, follows and is another nice new unreleased track. "Brave in the Heart" feat. Terror Squad and "My World" are also new material and are decent tracks. Classic tracks like "You aint a killer" and "Wishfull thinking" feat. Kool G Rap and B-Real are nice additions, but some other classic tracks like "Toe to Toe" feat. Cuban Link, the original version of his hit song"Im not a player" and "You Came Up" feat. Noreaga are not included. Another nice Nore/Pun/Camron/Lox collab "Banned from TV" is included though. Album ends with some remix tracks, and 98 version of how we roll. I just wish that they had made a greatest hits album instead of throwing in new material with old material, and not really giving enough of either. When you already own both his previous albums this one is not really worth getting. This album is no "Capital Punishment", nor is it like his 2nd album "Yeaah Baby" but it is still has some gems like How we Roll, and is worth taking a look at when your at the local record store.
Customer Rating: Summary: The best Comment: This is a collection of some of Big Pun's best work; but this is only a fraction of what he has to offer...
