Customer Rating: Summary: A rap classic Comment: "All Eyez on Me" is a very nice album, especially the first disc. Disc two is filled with mediocre to good songs, but nothing exceeds good. As a unit, this album is easily a rap classic. 2 Pac gives a strong delivery and thought-provoking lyrics on most every single song. He is so many people's favorite rapper, me included. He has a technique which captures listeners from the first line. This album features classics such as "I Ain't Mad at Cha", "How Do You Want It?", `All About You", and the album's strongest cut, "Life Goes On." I wish Pac would have left his friends off of this album for there are way too many guest appearances and many of them were apart of his group, The Outlawz. They are alright as rappers, but they don't hold a flame or candle to 2 Pac. Other guests include Snoop, Dr. Dre, George Clinton and K-Ci and Jo-Jo. Each of these artists do a wonderful job with their contributions. Most of the production on this album is very good. It's one of the reasons this album faired so well with me
Rap fans, this album was released on February 12, 1996, so Lord knows it should already be in your collection, but if for some reason it is not, do add it immediately. 4 stars.
Mikeisha's Top 5

Customer Rating: Summary: PERFECT RAP ALBUM Comment: THIS IS TRULY ONE OF THE GREATEST RAP/ HIP HOP ALBUMS TO EVER BE CREATED, FROM THE WINDOW SHATTERING INTRO OF AMBITIONZ AZ A RIDAH TO DA FINAL CHILL BACK AND RELAX HEAVEN AINT HARD TO FIND, EVERY SONG ON HERE TUPAC PUT HIS HEART INTO, STRONG LYRICS, THIS IS ALBUM IS ALWAYZ IN ROTATION IN MY CAR DECK OR HOME STEREO, DEFINATLY RECOMENDED!
Customer Rating: Summary: The best hip hop record of all time Comment: This album right here made everybody step their game up. Alot of people droped double disk albums trying to keep up. But couldn't quite match half the firepower of this record.
Production is A+ all across the board. Dope producers. Dat Nigga Daz, Devante, and Johhny J an average producer really stepped his game up. Pac just made everybody step their game up. The guest appreances are stupid jumbo crack too. You know the lyrics is dope. Always from Pac.
The first record is all the hits. Some say whats ya phone # is a filler, but its not. Its more of a joke, or shall I say comedy record. If you remember Dogg Food from Dogg Pound, they droped a record on there where they had a girl talkin on the phone. Thats what Pac tried to do, in terms of crackin a joke on an album.
The second record has nothing but the street anthems. Shorty Wanna Be A Thug, OutLaw Immortalz, Thug Passion, Picture Me Rollin, Run The Streetz, We Ain't Hard To Find. Every song on this record has meaning, it means something.
Best record of all time period. I've bought this like 3-4 times. This isn't even Pac's best album lyrically either. Its probally Makaveli. But all in all, from top to bottem, I havn't heard a record hip hop speaking that comes close to this.
Customer Rating: Summary: The best Comment: This is one of Tupac's best CD's ever, and one of rap's greatest. I love the tracks on this double, and it's so good my girlfriend listens to it. Every song from the main mtv hits "How do u want it", the first song "Ambitions as a Ridah", to "I ain't mad at cha" are all anthems. All classic Tupac, and hard to find anything in this day of modern hip hopas original, melodic, and lyrically captivating as this.
Customer Rating: Summary: 2PAC is a Revolutionary!!! Comment: 2PAC could have lived a story of success in the music world or in Hollywood, for that matter. Talented, presentable and above all else, Socially Conscionable. A tragic and forceful figure of the modern era able to put it all into lyrics. Prison term certainly adding the final touch, I think. 2PAC was not a congenial kind of guide to a lot of people and I am certain that is why he was finally killed. This guy was a "creative force" to be reckoned with, the language of the streets his most decisive weapon. His fertile mind his source. But the music sucks! If you take all the words out and just play the music this album is below par. A lot of sequenced sections, same notes played over and over with very rare exceptions. Rap is mostly a beat, I think I understand, and all it requires is the delivery of the words. Truly a world onto itself and God knows there are some monster rappers! But very few create their own music and play it with passion and skills. To the point that the music could stand alone if necessary if only to prove that music and rap can and should go hand to hand. How long can you repeat the same background music, or listen to drum machines before you start missing great sounds?! That said, 2PAC is undoubtedly one of my heroes for here is a man that had it going on and chose to keep challenging the forces that be. He could have sold out and age gracefully but he opted to be a Revolutionary! His Bros must be very proud of him and his enemies can probably kiss his ass for they were not the ones who were on the Spotlight! 5 Stars for his Talent but the music no more than a 3 Stars equals 4 Stars? PS Everyone in the album with him sounded so awesome, he must have been surrounded by Excellent Bros'!

Simultaneously serving as both endless fodder for intellectual debates and the album most likely to be blaring out of the adjacent car's window, All Eyez on Me is a phenomenon that packs a wallop with every listen. Unquestionably the most nihilistic album to top the Billboard charts--and it's doubtful that any will match it--Eyez also manages to dish out the good-times dance tunes and still flow seamlessly. Recording commenced within hours of Tupac Shakur's release from prison, and a year's worth of pent-up ideas are unleashed with a fury akin to lifting the lid on a box of plutonium. The line between high art and insufferable reality, possibilities and self-destruction, has never been so blurred. Eyez is a landmark achievement that is unlikely to be topped by any heir apparent to the hip-hop crown. --Gregg Turkington
