Customer Rating: Summary: Yet Another 5 Star Review For This CD Comment: I'm a 35 year old man. I am not overly religious and certainly NOT into Christian music at all. But I have to give 5 stars to this CD. I picked it up one day because we just had a baby and I thought it looked like a good CD to help her sleep. I had no idea who Twila Paris was at the time, but I took a chance on her. From the first second I heard this CD I was hooked. Her voice is simply beautiful and her songs have so much joy and emotion. She captured for me what it was like to be a father for the first time and how much love you can have for a little baby. We began listening to this CD in the car, at home, everywhere. I think this is one of the greatest albums I have ever heard. I have a very varied taste in music. While I like music that many people would consider offensive, I also like music that means something and is good spirited. This album has the best feeling to it that I have ever heard. Twila Paris is awesome and I love her. My daughter is now almost 6, and this is still an album that we enjoy together. 5 stars all the way... and if you notice the reviews, not one person has given this CD anything less than 5 stars. That should tell you something. I am telling you that the 5 star reviews aren't all from people who are crazy for Christian music or who go to church every week. This 5 star review comes from an agnostic. Twila Paris, I don't know if there is a God or not, but if there is a God I know he is very proud of you. You rock!
Customer Rating: Summary: Puts me to sleep Comment: I love this cd so much that after four kids, it is worn out and I need a new one. Twilia has written songs on this cd that express my own heart as a mom.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good for all children Comment: I got this cd in 1999 for my fist daughter. My second daughter came in 2003. We got her a baby praise cd. My first daughter still wanted this cd at the age of four. As life goes, the cds got mixed up, scratched and replaced. Well we are now in 2007 and my 8 year old and my four year old both love this cd to go to sleep too. I love this cd because it is not only relaxing but the words are so godly and uplifting for a child and their parents.
Customer Rating: Summary: The sweetest lullaby CD Comment: Michael Card's lullaby CD was in heavy rotation in our house (it's a great one, if you don't have it). But Twila's has made a wonderful new addition. I now give it as baby gifts to all my friends - it's so sweet and the lyrics are so uplifting for a Christian parent. I absolutely love it!
Customer Rating: Summary: 47-year-old males for Twila, unite! Comment: From the perspective of a 47-year-old male, not expecting any more children anytime soon: Previous reviewers are right--this is not a "children's lullaby" CD. Yes, it serves very well for that purpose, but really this is the best Twila Paris recording, in my opinion, since the mega-classic "Sanctuary." Heartfelt lyrics and vocals, great melodies. Kids love it, too, but you will find yourself listening even when they're asleep. "I pray that you will follow Him your whole life long."

Twila Paris is very clear about the intent of this release, writing in the CD's liner notes that "this is a lullaby album." You'll find an abundance of sleepy-time melodies and gentle, peaceful harmonies throughout this release. As much as the material is geared toward young minds and hearts, there's also a strong affinity toward mothers as well. Paris weaves her lyrical content around the late-night meditations of many new moms, not to mention the little ones they hold. "My Delight" and "Your Whole Life Long" are especially moving and beautiful ballads. This would be an ideal present for a friend or loved one who's expecting. --Michael Lyttle
