Customer Rating: Summary: LIFEHOUSE CD Comment: This CD is everything I hoped it would be. It came in great condition!!
Customer Rating: Summary: How can anyone call this "rock"???? Comment: Warning to consumers grazing along looking for "Rock". I see review after review labeling this release as rock. I'm not saying this is a bad effort by Lifehouse because clearly I would be wrong since there are over 600 reviews with a 5 star rating. The production is really good. But personally, using my definition of rock ... you can't go to sleep listening to rock ... rock wakes you up ... this effort in its entirety is not rock ... not even close.
Really I think the amazon review nailed it best with "melodies that mark Lifehouse's radio-friendly sound are not unlike those of matchbox twenty or Live in their softer moments" and "think Crowded House at their lilting best".
Customer Rating: Summary: excellent Comment: We heard about this band through a human video on godtube. We bought it for that one song, Everything. The entire CD is outstanding.
Customer Rating: Summary: Totally Awesome Music!! Lifehouse Rules!! Comment: This music is really great, awesome songs, great lyrics, just really great music all together! Listen and Love it!
Customer Rating: Summary: Everything remains my favorite Comment: I remember when I first heard this song on first and last episodes of Smallville. The "Pilot" episode and "Tempest" and I had to rewind the DVD many times just to listen to it. I asked many people what the name was and who it was composed by. It is such a mellifluous piece of work. The instruments blend extremely well to create an environment of reflection and deep thought. Often times I think of my wife when I hear this song, but also the lyrics can pertain to a Christian theme as well. It is well done...I hope to hear more like these.

No Name Face is an auspicious debut from a band seemingly made to rule the airwaves. The insinuating melodies that mark Lifehouse's radio-friendly sound are not unlike those of matchbox twenty or Live in their softer moments. From the first single, "Hanging by a Moment," to the emotive and uplifting "Quasimodo" and the wonderful "Trying" (think Crowded House at their lilting best), Lifehouse are self-possessed and focused. Young singer-songwriter Jason Wade (the son of two ministers) imbues Lifehouse's vibe with a spiritual quality that's never heavy-handed, delivering the goods with the authority of an experienced troubadour. No Name Face may be a first offering from a young band, but it looks to signal the beginning of an estimable career. --Katherine Turman
