Comment: I listen to a lot of mainstream rap {50 cent, eminem, snoop dogg, etc}. My youth group leader urged me to listen to some Christian rap, so I bought the 1st cd I could find, which was this
Knowdaverbs has the voice and the talent to make good music, but he falls short. His rhymes are elementary and repititive. The beats are very good, but the lyrics aren't the best. He also relies too much on guests to sing on his music, he should do more rapping himself.
I would listen to Christian rap if there was any good stuff out there, but sadly most Christian rap is like this, and it isn't very attractive.
I appreciate his efforts to make good music, but it falls short
There are other good groups out there like KJ-52, Audio Adrenaline, and the Newsboys who are better than he is. Kanye West is good too {He swears, but he has a good message about Jesus and forgiveness}

Comment: wow. what a weak cd. does this guy really think he's gonna convert the secular world into christians by putting out ridiculously corny music? "if i was mayor" is very laughable, being called the "action figure" is so lame, and to top it all off the retarted "plane scared". look dude i understand you want to try to relate to non believers but this is not the way. tell them about your past life like maybe if u had a problem with lust, lying, cheating, drinking, smoking, etc. this will be a lot more affective in converting non believers than some old "yippidy yi yo kay yay i'm saved now let's do the action figure dance" type of approach. oh and i also heard the little bar that you spit about secular rap all sounding the same in topic and beats and all. verbs, seriously, put on hot 97 or power 105.1 and LISTEN to the beats, the flow, the samples and see what sells. then emulate it to a T but add christian lyrics onto it. or hey hire timbaland or the neptunes, rockwilder, or just blaze or dr dre to do a beat PLEASE! take this as some friendly advice from a fellow christian who is only trying to help.

Summary: Dont buy this!
Comment: I bought this cd expecting more. I was severly dissapointed. I will NEVER buy anything by Verbs again. This cd is way too slow for my tastes. If you want my advice look at grits, cross movement. I don't know I am just one person, but I did not enjoy paying 17 bucks for this cd and getting mediocre quality. Holy Culture by Cross Movement or Art of Translation by Grits or The Last Street Precha by T-Bone are miles ahead of this cd.

Summary: there's better Christian rap out there
Comment: I bought this CD and his earlier one syllabus, but am dissapointed with both. First, his lyrics are not hard-core Chrsitian. Compared to bands such as Cross Movement or T.R.U.T.H. his are only a mediocre Christian. Second, as for his beat and style, he could use some improvement. While #2 and #3 were ok, the rest weren't that great. He sound wasn't like the kind you could hear on the streets. Good Christian rap alternatives are Cross Movement, TRUTH, T-Bone, DCP, ANtonious, and Gospel GAnstaz

Comment: I like the beats of eminem, but what I don't like about eminem is the cussing. Every song has at least 2-3 cuss words. I'm only aloud to listen to christian music, so I heared about this rapper called "knowdaverbs", so I searched it and i found it. So then I start listning to it, I was AMAZED!!! It had the beats like eminem but with out all the cussing, on top of that, it was christian!!! I was sooo excited about this that I just had to get this c.d. (I haven't gotten it yet but I promise I'll get it). So if you love hard rap or rock your going to love this cd. GET IT!!!
