Summary: wonderful collection of 20s & 30s dance music
Comment: This is a really top-notch collection of 20s & 30s dance music by various bands, mostly underservedly forgotten. A very entertaining CD that gives a good idea of the fun and energy of 20s & 30s dance music. You won't be able to stand still.

Comment: What a fun collection of 1920s dance music! "You're the Cream in My Coffee," "Who's Sorry Now," "I Wanna Be Loved By You," and "Miss Annebelle Lee" are wonderful to hear as original recordings, not the 1950s/1960s re-recordings. Overall, most of these songs are clear and interesting recordings, except for the lame "Rainy Weather Rose." All these songs are immediately recognizable by the listener who is the efficianado, and by the end of the first bar, you are ready to dance, dance, dance! This is a great collection to have at parties.

Summary: Great, wide variety of music from the 20's and 30's
Comment: What a great purchase! You would be hard pressed to find all these 78's around collector's basements. The part I love the best is the terrific variety of music from that era. If you're looking for ballads and toe-tappers this is the one.

Summary: What a cool CD!
Comment: I have always loved big band, oldies-sounding music--you know, the quality you get on AM radio. I don't know why...I just have. I've looked around for a CD like this before, and I finally found it! Here's why I love this CD.
First of all, there are 24 songs. That's a LOT of music for a great price (I paid about 13 dollars...watch the price because it fluctuates a lot and you may get it cheaper that what it's listed as in a week or so).
Second, the quality is awesome--it's got that oldies feel to it. I'd almost prefer not to have the completely clean sound to oldies music--this makes it feel more authentic.
Finally, the songs are great. I am only in my 20s, not born in the 20s, so I cannot tell you if they represent that era well. However, as I said, I've always wanted a CD with that old quality sound and awesome oldies songs, and this is the one.
I would highly recommend this CD! :)

Summary: best i've found, but still looking
Comment: the service was very fast, the cd is great, and i have no complaints! i'm still looking for what i consider to be the perfect cd from that time period, but this is a good start!
