Customer Rating: Summary: Chock Full! Comment: If this CD only contained "Nutbush City Limits", "Get Out of Denver", and "Katmandu", it would be worth the price! This is essential Bob Seger.
Customer Rating: Summary: One of the Best Live Recordings Comment: I love and have seen all types of blues, jazz, and rock performances in my life. Bob Seiger and Bruce Springsteen have been the best rock performances I ever saw. The Live Bullet album captures Mr. Seiger just the way one would see him in person. In Live Bullet, he and the band perform some previously released studio recordings much better with more soul and feeling. Live Bullet is one of the best live recording records ever made.
Customer Rating: Summary: CLASSIC Comment: This one stays on constant rotation in my vehicle. Bob Seger at his very best. Go 'Little Queenie' 3 times
Customer Rating: Summary: Killer Live! Comment: As evidence that this is a great live album, one need only consider the fact that four of Bob Seger's songs ("Travelin' Man," "Katmandu," "Turn the Page," and "Beautiful Loser") are more famous (and get more radio play) as live cuts from this album, than as original, studio tracks. And why not? The live cuts really show the power and energy of Bob Seger and Bullet, much more so than his studio albums ever did, and this album is a great example of that. A classic live album!
Customer Rating: Summary: Detroit, Michigan makin' noise Comment: This is one of those great mid-70s live double LPs, a slab of in-your-face rock churned out for the listening pleasure of yourself and a few thousand screaming fans. It's a big chunk of on-stage fury, with the kind of immediacy and raw drive that makes rock so gosh darned good. Bob Seger, with his throaty bellow of a voice and arena-friendly songwriting, was simply built for the stage. He's exuberant, soulful, and charismatic, with a boundless and raw sort of energy. He plays off of his audience and his band (who, by the way, are awesome), pounding out song after song of meaty rock 'n' roll brilliance in the process. "Katmandu" and "Get Out Of Denver" are rip roaring, amped-up Chuck Berry style rockers, and "Heavy Music" has a sort of cathartic urgency. "Travelin' Man" and "Beautiful Loser" are spacious ballads, and "Turn The Page" is hauntingly autobiographical (with a smokey sax line to boot). There's also a funky romp through Van Morrison's "I've Been Working," and high-speed rave called "Nutbush City Limits." Anyway, this is beautifully loud and dangerously soulful live rock 'n' roll goodness. You'll love it!
