Summary: Razah's "Rain" shows nothing but promise for me.
Comment: Not that any of these lyrics are hard to write. I just think that the way he lets his heart rest on his sleeve is nice. Everyone seems to do it these days but for me it never really gets old.
Anyway, I heard this song for the first time today and it's alright. The rhythm; the way he sings it is the best part of the song.
And then the 'hiding from his tears in the rain' and admitting that his 'emotions are out of his control' got me to like the song. enough.
but i still don't think it's great. it's not mindless but it's nothing new either. but if i had to take it or leave it...
i'd take it.
3.3 stars.
end note: i'll be watching for his next single. and i'm so surprised that he's caught on the way he has on youtube. over 200,000 views!!

Summary: Peaceful rain sound
Comment: This entire c.d. is gentle rain, sometimes a little harder, sometimes a little softer. Since I love the sound of rain, I play this c.d. when I have trouble getting to sleep. It always relaxes me and I find it does lull me to sleep.

Comment: The house next door was rented to partying college students! Desperate, I tried several rain CDs before landing on this one. The cheaper CDs had 30 second or two minute loops, which I found to be very distracting; often with a click as the loop repeats. Another CD I tried had birds and other things going on. This one was rain -- just rain -- and non-repeating. The volume does fluctuate as the rain gets heavier and lighter. I don't hear the low-frequency rumble another reviewer complained of, probably because I am playing it on a $100 ministereo system bought in haste at the same time. I found this CD to be invaluable.

Summary: This is THE rain record.
Comment: As other reviewers have written, this CD contains only the gentle sound of rain. No music. No Birds. No electronic enhancement by a misguided record producer. Nothing to distract. Just the relaxing, sleep-inducing sound of rain.
When I awaken in the night and have trouble falling back to sleep, I put this in my bedside CD player and let it run. The white-noise effect is perfect for encouraging deep sleep. Might be some genetic carryover from our ancient ancestors.
Another reviewer complained about being able to detect the repeating rain segment. However, I tried to hear it, but failed. Perhaps I fell asleep too soon?
I had purchased other rain and ocean surf CDs. This pure rain CD is the best.

Summary: Awesome...Rain In Stereo
Comment: I work 3rd shift, and I have trouble sleeping during the day. A friend of mine suggested this cd, and I'm glad I took her advice. While waiting on my cd to arrive, I found a bargain rain cd at a retail store. While I enjoyed that one too, Rain in Country is far superior to it. I have a 5.1 surround sound system, and this cd is so much clearer than the retail one. The clarity is amazing, and so real. Its like you are sitting on your front porch with your Grandfather as the rain pours down. Remember those days? I think there is some faint thunder, but I'm not really sure. I believe this to purely sounds of rain, with no music or birds or duck sounds. Another thing is how the rain sometimes is softer and sometimes harder; just like a real rain shower. I put it on repeat several minutes before bed around 8am in the morning, and then I start to read my Vince Flynn or Ronald Reagan Diaries. It is so soothing, and I quickly fall to sleep. Even during the day when I'm off, I find this so relaxing. My wife loves it too. I don't claim to know if this is the best or not, but compared to the other cd it is. The sound is so clear and life like in my stereo, I'm curious how they made it. This isn't a thunderstorm cd, but purely 63 minutes of rain. I may buy thunderstorm cd, but I won't buy another rain one. I am very very happy with this purchase & you will be too!
