Customer Rating: Summary: dont knock the cd because of one song Comment: yes, i love the Teddy P. song as well, and no its not on there. do some research before buying a cd people. lots of songs are not on this cd. i think most people are part of an older generation that appreciate real love songs, im...coughs.. 29 and teddy pendergrass, lenny williams etc can sing what true love songs should sound like. all im saying is dont down this cd because one song isnt on there. i wanted this song as well and just downloaded it on I-tunes for 99 cents instead of buying this whole cd. took me 2 seconds to google this cd and check for teddy p.
Customer Rating: Summary: Shortchanged Comment: The one song I wanted to hear was in the movie. It was a song by Teddy Pendergrass and it was cut out for some reason. The rest of the music was somehow connected to a rap group who did not perform many songs in the movie. It was a waste of cash.
Customer Rating: Summary: don't waste your money Comment: The only good songs are the ones by the late grat Luther Vandross( if this world were mine), back in the day, and i wannna know. the teddy pendergrass song( you're my latest greatest inspiration)-you know the one played when taye diggs and lisaraye were married or something-wasn't even included in the soundtrack. BOO!!
Customer Rating: Summary: it was just Aight Comment: this Soundtrack had cuts from R.kelly,The Roots,Outkast,&other folks along with Classics from back in the day but overall Ahmad stole the soundtrack.other than that not much to really speak on.it was just aight to me.still dig the film though.
Customer Rating: Summary: Name that tune... Comment: ...and the artist who recorded it. I'm talking about the tune that plays (I think) when the couple are getting toasted, or when they are exchanging vows. Always liked that song. I think the chorus keeps saying "Higher and higher..." or something like that. Don't think I heard it on this collection.

Laced with nostalgia of the 1980s, the motion picture The Wood hit theaters a decade later touted as a feel-good, then-and-now movie. The accompanying soundtrack, however, relies heavily on late-1990s talent and makes only three short trips back to the '80s. Classic tracks such as Whodini's "Freaks Come Out at Night" and 1987's beatbox-heavy "Make the Music with Your Mouth Biz" leaves listeners yearning for additional musical flashbacks. The Wood's more up-to-date sound is handled by DMX, R. Kelly, the Roots, Outkast, and Mystikal. Balanced with both hip-hop and R&B, the soundtrack is best summed up by Ahmad's smooth "Back in the Day (Remix)," which reveals: "Some days I sit and wish I was a kid again." --Celine Wong
