Comment: Taylor Dayne has always been a favorite of mine. She has a deep sultry voice which highlights all of her songs and talents. Well worth the money spent for hours of enjoyment.

Comment: Taylor Dane's Greatest Hits album is a truly excellent CD. There is all of her classics such as "Tell It To My Heart", and a soulful ballad like "Love Will Lead You Back". A mixture of really good music. Taylor Dane is a phenonmenal singer. Definitely recommend this.

Comment: My favorite is Love Will Lead You Back. I'm not a big fan, so if I had to do it over again, I'd probably by a cd with that song and a mix of other artists. Her other songs are too powerful for me.

Comment: Taylor Dayne has the good fortune to be possessed of one of those memorably full-tilt voices capable of reaching out from the car radio and grabbing you by the throat. The problem is she uses it all the time.
I was motivated to buy this CD because of that star-quality high-volume 'emotional overload' (Ms. Dayne's words) approach to the high-airplay singles she's tossed out along the way. But this CD is too much of a single good thing.
Although the worthy influence of Tina Turner is palpable, so - alas - is that of Mrs. Costanza.
Still, let's not be overly harsh. Taylor Dayne has found her niche and worked it well. She can still convince on any given Sunday with 'Tell It To My Heart' and there's a kind of horsepower when she goes deep into her alto register that gives the same warm feeling as a well-tuned Hemi.
Her energy makes it seem that she's likely a good live act to watch, though I've not personally been to one of her concerts.
But on a careful listening to her 'Greatest Hits', I eventually found myself pushing the seat back as far as it would go and wondering when it would all end.
I'll be taking my Taylor Dayne, admiringly, in small doses from here on out.

Taylor Dayne made her reputation as a latter-day disco diva whose hits "Tell It to My Heart" and "Can't Get Enough of Your Love" (the latter a remake of the famed Barry White hit) showed off her big, brassy voice, an instrument that seldom surrendered to the '80s-style synth-pop production that (unfortunately) almost always accompanied it. Greatest Hits collects the best of Dayne's three albums and keeps the tempo shifting nicely between ballads (which Dayne excels at) and uptempo dance tunes (including several new remixes). Her material has its limitations, but the power of Dayne's voice is never in question. --Daniel Durchholz
