Summary: Take a JOurney with Immature!
Comment: I remember this album when I was in the 5th grade. THis group was not as popular as Usher and Destiny's Child(in 1998). This album is a collection of laid back grooves with tight lyrics . This group returned with their own image and sound mature. This album should have been promoted more. Remember, this was 1997-1998. This album did do well on the R&B charts.

This album,The Journey, was not selling well at all because the group lost their style(not a criticism). It was just that a lot of their fans could not accept their new style at the time. A lot of people were dissing this album. I believe that they did not take the time to listen to this album. Marques' voice has matured on this album.

Summary: The journey to success
Comment: Immature (pre-IMx) were always a good group; so good that even guys weren't afraid to admit they liked their music. On this album, the guys have matured, and the subject matter has matured as well. And Batman does the lead vocals as usual, but here LDB shows his singing skills as well, and I actually think he should have been allowed to sing more.

There are a lot of good songs to choose from here, like the leadoff single "I'm Not A Fool", as well "Extra, Extra", "Tamika" and "Where Do We Go". But the last song is the very painful "All Alone", where Batman laments about his mother, whom he lost to cancer (it even sounds like he's crying while he's singing). The song is still good though.

The fast songs toward the middle of the album didn't really age that well, but Immature were never really known best for uptempo tracks anyway. If you don't have this album, at least give it a listen because the guys don't sound quite this good any more.

Summary: MISSING!!!
Comment: I do not know what happened with this album. It seemed like they lost their formula on this one from the style of music to their looks on this album (What was up with the Retro Beatles thing) I did not like this album at all. The only song that I liked was Give up the Ghost with Bone. This cd is when Immature lost a majority of their audience because we all grew up and it seemed like they didn't really mature. Even their brother group B2K seems way more mature now especially with their new single BUMP, BUMP, BUMP!
