Customer Rating: Summary: Great Classic R&B! Comment: New Edition were fulfilling their contract with MCA records when they released this album in 1985. Preceding this album were 1983's CANDY GIRL and the self-titled album released the following year. Boston's "Jackson 5" scored with COUNT ME OUT which never made it above #15 on the pop/rock/R&B charts. Also, this album marked the end of Bobby Brown's tenure with the group. Following this album in 1986 was UNDER THE BLUE MOON and Johnny Gill replaced Brown when Brown pursued a solo career. The other songs are great.
Customer Rating: Summary: "A lil' Bit of Magic" Comment: My father owns the lp version of this. This NE lp made it official that they graduated from the bubble gum pop that they had on their first 2 decent lps. It was not as good as the first two, but it was decent. Count Me Out, was my favorite. Although not a pop hit, it was a great mature funk hit that was made into a humorous video (only video from the lp and absence of Bobby Brown). "A Little Bit Of Love" is another favorite of mine (featuring Bobby on ad-libs in the end). "Let's Be Friends, With You All The Way, Sweet Thing, and Kickback" are the other hot tracks on there and thats a wrap. Although this lp was different from the first 2, the other 5 tracks not mentioned was considered a dissappointment to me so I saw no point in purcahsing the cd form. 3 stars is not a bad shot though.

Customer Rating: Summary: All This.... Comment: Okay I love New Edition (old and new) but this is just a very awkward stage.First off every song here is definately adult pop/soul but these boy's voices are at this weird 'tween' stage-they all sound high and nasal (almost as if Fran Drescher was singing them). And these songs DO NOT need nasl voices. For the well acclimated New Edition fan this will please them, but for the newcomer the earlier and later albums are alot better.
